*A month later- December 23rd- 32 weeks pregnant*

Ah, Christmastime is here and I couldn't be happier. I do miss the Wintertime when I use to live in Virginia before I moved here to California. I miss the snow and the cold weather and all of those winter things when I lived there. Living here in the Winter doesn't give off that Christmas vibe. My dad and I would always go back to Virginia to his mom's house to celebrate Christmas. When she passed away about three years ago we had stopped going. I really do miss all of that.

When I use to live with my dad, during the holidays, we try to make Christmas feel like home again. It does help sometimes when we blast our A/C to forty-eight degrees to make it feel like it's cold. It also gives us an excuse to wear winter clothes. I told Zak about it a while ago and he thinks we should do that in our house as well.

Speaking of Zak and I, we are right now picking out a tree. After finding one we are gonna go shopping for the tree decorations and shop around for last minute stuff. We all know what it's like in stores on Christmas Eve. It's hell and we don't want to be around that.

I spotted a tree that I liked and walked to it. "How about this, babe?"

Zak looked at it and scrunched his face. "That tree is ugly."

I rolled my eyes. "Not as ugly like the last one you picked out."

"Well then that makes two of us." He chuckled before grabbing my hand and we began walking again. "We have to hurry and find a tree before the stores get crowed."

Did I mention before that Zak woke me up at six this morning? Six in the freaking morning. I told him yesterday that we needed to wake up early before the stores get too crowded. I thought maybe around eight would be reasonable but no. I didn't think that early. We argued the whole morning. You can imagine how pissed I was. Of course my pregnancy hormones played a role in it but I'm kind of glad we did woke up early.

"I know." I sighed. "What if we can't find one?"

"Then we'll go to the store and buy an artificial tree."

I groaned. "But I don't like artificial trees."

"Then we need to find one fast."

A few minutes later we finally settled on a tree that we both liked. We paid for it before tying it on top of the car and we left. We decided to drop the tree off at home before going back out.

"Okay so what store are we going to?" Zak asked as he was pulling out of the parking lot.

"What do you think about going to Michaels to get the decorations?"

"Sounds alright to me. What foods are we gonna make for dinner at your dad's?"

Around Thanksgiving my dad and Zak's mom wanted to bring his side of the family and her side over my dad's house for Christmas dinner so we can get to know more about them. Since we told them that we were getting married once I was healed they figured it was time for us to meet more of the families. And now that I'm almost healed we don't have an exact date yet on when we'll get married.

"I told them that we're going to bring some desserts and a pasta dish."

"Alright. Do you have to do some last minute Christmas shopping like I do?" He asked before chuckling.

I light laughed and said, "Yeah I got to get presents for my cousins and aunt. I don't know what to get them."

"As much as I can't stand my dad, I'm going to get him a present. I've been pondering about it for a while and decided that I should. I could get him a watch or something. Or better yet, I can put on a piece of paper that says asshole on it and wrap it up in a big box."
