The next day, I decide to go to the studio with the boys and watch their dance rehearsals. I sit in the corner of the room, against the mirror in silence as their dance instructor teaches them the new dance.

"Dino, Joshua, I want you two to come here," the dance instructor requests and my brother glares at my boyfriend.

He begins to teach them a small part of the routine which requires them to dance in a pair. Dino glares at Joshua and I roll my eyes at his ongoing grudge.

"Dino, you need to smile." The man whose name I learned is Jongin, orders whilst frowning.

"Why? This is just practice." Dino snaps and I groan silently.

"Because, we're going to be filming the dance practice video in under two weeks and if you're glaring at Jisoo like you want to murder him, the fans are obviously going to sense that something is wrong."

"Ugh, fine." My brother groans and continues the dance, an evidently fake smile plastered on his lips.

I get up, and Joshua immediately stops dancing and looks at me.

"Where are you going?" He questions.

"To the bathroom."

"Oh okay..." He mumbles and apologises for interrupting the dance.

I sigh in boredom as I walk through the corridor and towards the bathroom, immediately stopping when I see three familiar figures standing beside one of the many entrances. I turn and quickly walk away but it's too late, they've already seen me.

"Areum, stop!" One of the men orders in a frighteningly deep voice, causing me to freeze and stand still like a statue.

They walk up to me, all standing in front of my still body with dark looks on their faces.

"Did you talk to Wonpil?" The tallest asks and I shake my head, scared.

"N-No," I stutter, "I haven't seen him."

"You had one job." The other says lowly and I cower.

"I'm sorry, I'll talk to him today, I promise."

"Do you know where he lives?" The tallest man speaks again.

Yes, I do know where he lives.

"N-No, I don't." I lie, looking down at the floor.

"She's lying." The man with the deep voice states and I shake my head.

"I'm not lying."

"Tell us he truth."

"Why should I?" I surprise myself by asking, my eyes simultaneously widening at my own words.

"Tell us, now." One of the men growls and I shake my head.

"Or what?" I tilt my head, putting up a false, brave act.

Instead of answering by words, the tallest man reaches behind his back and from underneath the band of his jeans, he pulls a sickening, recognisable object and I'm suddenly paralysed.

A gun.

"What is that for?" I ask, scared whilst staring at the shining black weapon.

He ignores me and slowly raises his arm, pointing it at my head and I gasp.

"Areum, where are you?" I hear Joshua shout from around the corner and I shake my head silently, praying he won't be found by the frightening men.

"Who's that?" The deep voiced man asks in a whispering tone. "Your boyfriend?"

I ignore him, clamping my eyes shut instead.

"She's here!" The man with the gun shouts and my eyes shoot open, my head turning to see Joshua walking around the corner and stopping dead in his tracks at the sight.

"Joshua, please leave." I whisper and he slowly walks towards us.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"Joshua, go." I order.

"No, I'm not going anywhere." He says protectively and stands in front of me, creating a boundary between the gun and I.

"Jisoo, what are you doing?" I gasp and try to step in front of him but he keeps me behind.

"Tell me why you're aiming a gun at my girlfriend's head." He says lowly and the men chuckle.

"She's hiding information about a dear old friend of ours, if she tells us, then we'll leave."

"No, I'm not telling you. Just leave him alone." I say scared.

"What's going on, Areum? Who are they talking about?" Joshua asks, his voice shaking and I feel tears grow inside my eyes.

"Wonpil, I think they're going to kill him." I say quietly.

"Wonpil? The boy you met at the hospital?" He asks.

"Yes."

"Oh, Areum. I thought you said he was harmless."

"He is! It's these men who aren't." I say, glaring at the three but they only chuckle darkly.

"Hey, where are you guys-oh..." I hear Seungkwan's voice and suddenly he's also beside us. "What's going on?"

"Another one?" The armed man asks in a taunting voice and I shake my head.

"Get out of here, Seungkwan." I say but he shakes his head.

"No, not until I know what's happening. Is this a joke or something? Who are you guys?"

"It's not a joke, Seungkwan. They're going to kill you if you don't leave." I say but he insists on staying.

"Follow us." They order and lead us into a small, empty room filled with nothing but a desk and chair.

Locking the door behind them, Joshua, Seungkwan and I stand beside each other scared.

"Sit over there." One man orders and we have no choice but to oblige.

We sit in the corner of the room, close together, looking fearfully into one another's eyes.

"I'm scared." I whisper and Joshua's hand finds mine.

"Don't be a scared." He whispers.

"So, are you going to tell us now?" The previously silent man asks and I shake my head.

"I'm not putting anyone in danger." I insist and he suddenly points the gun and Seungkwan.

"Tell us, or he dies."

"I'm not going to let you do that." I say and stand up.

"Three...two..." He says slowly, starting the count down and suddenly, my decision has been made.

"One..."

I jump quickly to the side just as the trigger is pulled, and I feel the bullet pierce the the side of my stomach. The gunshot echoes through the entire building but the sudden pain overpowers all other senses.

"Areum!" Joshua and Seungkwan cry in unison and rush towards me.

Blood begins to seep through the white material of my shirt and I fall from my knees onto my back. It hurts so much.

All I hear is the boys calling my name, and Joshua's hand squeezing my own before everything turns black.
