Welcome to the first chapter of The Wrong Valentine. This story is inspired by my favorite book, Totally Crushed. Happy reading!

What do you mean? When you nod your head yes, but you wanna say no.
I'm really not a big fan of Justin Bieber but I gotta admit, that song was really catchy. That was my alarm because at the start it had a tick tock tick tock... So... Yeah.
I got up from my bed and arranged it, combed my messy hair that looks like a birds' nest and went straight to the bathroom.
After that I went to my closet and scanned on what outfit I would wear today. Today's Pajama Day, yes, our school has those getups sometimes when we all get to wear something that suits the theme. I'm going to go for a purple long-sleeved shirt and a polka-dot pajama pants and slippers. Fixed my hair into a bun and went downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning, ma." I greeted my mother as I saw her in the kitchen.
"Hello there, Ivory!" She warmly smiles. "Sit. I'm making good old American breakfast." Yum!
I devoured all of my breakfast, and later washed the dishes. I waited for my mom to get ready since she's the one driving me to school. Mom won't let me drive or have my own car until I turn 18 which is still next year.
Ding dong!
I opened the door and there revealed my boy best friend, Seb, smiling like an idiot.
"Good morning, sunshine!" He greeted.
Sebastian, a.k.a Seb, usually hitches a ride with me and my mom every morning. Since my other best friend, Violet lives on the other side of the street, her father's the one sending her to school.
He's wearing an oversized t-shirt and jogging pants, yet he still looks darn cute! Well don't get me wrong, I'm just admiring my bestie. Typical blonde hair, blue eyes, football player yet so nerdy and I like how he's not like the other guys just messing with girls.
As soon as we arrived from school I immediately went to my locker and spotted my other best friend, Violet.
Since my family name is Davis and Violet's is Edwards, our lockers are next to each other. Seb got separated since his family name is Arson.
"Are you done with the assignment Mrs. Wilkins gave?" Violet asks out of nowhere.
I was shocked, completely utterly shocked. "There's an assignment?!"
Good thing it was easy, I finished it in a jiffy. The perks of being slightly brainy.
Violet on the other hand, was nerdy and preppy. So she gets along with other people really well. Some people may not notice it but my best friend is quite the sight. Dark hair and those green eyes, a porcelain skin that makes her glow, and a nice body which she hides by wearing loose shirts or sweaters. She has a charming personality and that's why I love her.
After we were checking our homework, our principal went inside the classroom to make an announcement.
"Good morning, students." Principal Gomez said. " I have come here to let you know about our annual game. Since it's Valentines Day next Monday I have decided to let you be informed in advance."
"Next Monday I want all your lockers to be unlocked, each class will take turns in going out to place a rose in the lockers of who they select. There are three types of roses to give, white, pink and red. White for teachers, pink for friends, red for, obviously, crushes or the one you love. Now I'm sure everyone here gets to receive a rose since all of you have friends. Take that time to enjoy the game. Decide on who you'll give the roses to. That would be all, have a nice day."
"Wait, sir? Can I ask a question?" Claire Holden, our resident Queen B asked.
"What is it?"
"Well, will we get to like, write our name on our rose and like, write a letter or something?"
Principal Gomez simply answered, "It's up to you. If you have the courage to reveal yourself then go for it. If you don't, then don't." And he left us.
The whole class were screaming of excitement. As for me? Well, I'm not expecting a red rose but hopefully, I might receive one.
Tell me what you think by leaving a comment. :)
