This life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel.

Don't forget that I'm human. Don't forget that I'm real.

Act like you know me, but you never will.

"But there's one thing that I know for sure, I'll show you." someone sang from behind.

I jumped from surprise as I saw Alex catching up to me. I thought I was the only student left at school since I went to the library to gather some resources for my final exam. I didn't bring my headphones but I felt like listening to music so there I was, singing one of my favorite songs not knowing he was behind me all along. That was so embarrassing.

"I loved that." he said out of the blue.

We were walking side by side, out to the exit of our school. I then asked what he meant.

"The song, I'll Show You." he replied as if he was stating the obvious.

"Oh, right! It's like Justin Bieber was saying his life as a celebrity is harder than it seems. Do you agree with me?"

"I sure do." he said while messing my hair.

I chuckled and gave him a playful punch on the arm while I asked, "Why are you still here?"

"I should be asking you the same question, Ivory."

I then told him I went to the library. He was wearing this amused face while telling me how diligent I was. The exam won't be up until Monday and I had the entire weekend to study, yet there I was at the library, on a Wednesday afternoon. Where the rest already went home doing anything except studying.

"Now, you still haven't told me why you're still here. So, care to tell me why?" I asked.

"I was at the field playing soccer." he said simply with a smile crept on his lips.

It was then I noticed his hair was still damp. There were rubber shoes clung to his backpack and there was a face towel slumped on his shoulder.

I checked my wrist watch to see what time it was and a loud gasp escaped from my mouth.

"What's wrong, Ivory?" Alex asked, clearly curious of my actions.

"It's 5:45. Violet, I still have to meet Violet by 6!" I panicked. "Oh, how am I supposed to get there in time? I still have to go home and change and put all my things since these books are so heavy! Oh my goodness I still have to ride a bus! I -"

"Hey, Ivory. Chill out!" he said while walking in front of me and placed both his hands on each pf my shoulders. "I can take you home if you want." He offered.

"Wow, you're even better up close." I said absent-mindedly, gazing at his beautiful eyes.

"What?" He said amusedly, a smirk plastered on his lips.
