Have you ever had that feeling when you just can't take it all anymore, and you just want to go somewhere else, be alone, and express what you really feel without anyone judging you?

That was what I felt.

Exam results came in, and I was more than devastated with the scores I got. I just couldn't believe it. All those sleepless nights just to study, and that was all I got?

"How's your results? Well, I'm pretty sure you got As." I asked Violet as we entered the canteen during lunch.

I haven't told her about what happened yet. She kept on bugging me over the weekend. Sending me numerous texts, asking if I was okay, and why I suddenly disappeared with Alex and Nick last Friday. Well, they disappeared, too. So we're equal.

"Bs and Cs! Goddammit. I just don't understand."

While giving her a light pat on the back, I said, "Better luck next time, Vi."

"Meh, that doesn't matter right now. I'm hungry. Now c'mon."

Wow. What a sudden change of mood. One moment she was so frustrated, next she's so hyper and energetic, dragging me more closer to where the food was.

We were falling in line, waiting for our turn to buy lunch. And what a long line it was. Violet, who was frustrated then hyper, became frustrated again. Honestly, it was so embarrassing, seeing her yell and yell at those people at the front line to Get on with it or Hurry the fuck up. Ducking my head, I prayed she would just stop yelling and be patient. Well, she did.

All was well, until I heard that one voice.

"What's taking so long?"

I turned around to see Nick just at least five persons behind. Our eyes met, then I felt something I knew I shouldn't be feeling.

My knees felt weak, my heart was beating so fast. I never felt this way whenever I saw him before. Was it because I already knew he's S.A all along?

Now I really want to go somewhere else and be alone.

"I have to go." I said to Violet before rushing outside.

The idea of skipping classes never came across my mind. Well, I could at least know what it felt like to skip right now. Plus, it's almost summer vacation. I shouldn't worry about anything.

But damn, I didn't know where to go. I was just standing outside the school, looking so lost.

A familiar black Rover was fast approaching. It came from the school's parking lot. Someone must also be planning to skip just like me. It stopped right in front of me, literally.

The windows were slowly going down, until it revealed the face, the last person I wanted to see at the moment.

"Need a lift?" Alex said once the windows were fully out of sight.

Turning my heel, I walked towards the left direction, I thought I knew exactly where I'm heading. I still got some cash right here to ride a taxi so that should do.

Alex caught up with me, as expected.

"C'mon, Ivory. Can you at least forget everything that happened last Friday and come with me?" He pleaded.

Still ignoring him, I found a taxi and told the driver my destination.

Everyday, I always craved for caffeine. Call me an addict, I don't care. For me, coffee eases my temper. I made a stop at Bean Connection, a cafe downtown. While inside, I felt like I was in heaven. The aroma of coffee, cake, doughnuts, cookies instantly smacked me in the face.

What I loved about Bean Connection was that it had a mini library. So while customers were sipping their coffee, they could read books while they're at it.

So while I was drinking my favorite vanilla latte and munched on my glazed doughnut, I was reading good ol' Geronimo Stilton. Childish, or not?

Geronimo Stilton never failed to amuse me. I loved how he always got into trouble, had messy situations, went from one place to another, yet in the end, problems were solved. I was even surprised they had those kind of books there. Every Geronimo Stilton book was present. I was literally jumping when I saw them. So while I was already at the climax of the book, the chair in front of me suddenly moved. I didn't mind, though. I was concentrating on reading.

"Well, someone's so focused."

I almost jumped from my seat when I heard that voice. Shock evident in my features as I saw Alex sitting across the table.

"Why are you here?!" I half-whispered, half-yelled. If that was even possible.

"Easy, I followed you here." He said while taking a bite from the glazed doughnut.

"What the hell, Alex!" I now yelled then stood up, walking away.

"Now where do you think you're going?" The douche asked me while still eating the doughnut. My doughnut for goodness sake. I paid for it but I only had like, two bites.

"Buying another doughnut,"

"You should buy another latte as well," he suggested and when I turned to look at him, he was already taking a sip from my vanilla latte.

"Bastard!" I yelled again, which got me attention from a few people.

Awkwardly walking towards the counter, I ordered my usual, again.

"You're making me so broke." I glared at Alex once I arrived with my new latte and doughnut. It was just one doughnut, but it was big either way.

"I'll pay for that," he said. Still drinking my previous latte.

"No need," I declined.

After a moment, maybe Alex couldn't take the silence anymore. So he took the book I was reading and put it on the table.

"Give that back," I warned.

"Are you just going to ignore me? I came here because of you, you know."

"Well, I didn't ask you to,"

After silently staring at each other, he stood up and grabbed my arm. But I pulled back.

"Hey," I called him. "What do you think you're doing?"

He then lets go of my arm. Then looks directly at my eyes.

"Please Ivory, just forget about everything. Just for a little while. Come with me." He looked at me with those eyes. Those eyes that I fell in love with since the very beginning.

Shit. What was I doing?

While sighing, I nodded my head. "Whatever."

Yes. I'm a lame excuse of an author. Please forgive me! I wasn't able to update because there wasn't any internet connection available lately. Well, I have some good news. I will be updating every week from now on. It won't be like before that I update once a month. :)
