It's Valentines' Day.
Yay.
Well, I woke up with a smile on my face, but I got to admit, I'm nervous. What if I don't receive a rose? What if Violet and Seb forget to give me rose? What if they didn't forget, but they just didn't want to give me one? Oh the horror, the pain.
Think positive, Ivory. Of course they'll give you a rose.
I sure do hope so.
Today's Red Hearts Day. So we're going to wear something with a touch of red and hearts on it, obviously.
I'm going to go for my white shirt that says I Heart You in big, red, bold letters. Put on my skinny red jeans and red Converses. I wore my heart-shaped diamond earrings and a gold necklace with a heart pendant my mom gave me last year. I decided on styling my hair into a side-braid. When I thought I looked ready to go I grabbed my bag and walked to Seb's house since it's his turn to drive us to school. Well make that, his mothers' turn.
Remember I said I drove my B.M.W? Well it wasn't exactly mine. It was my dad's. I liked to call it mine because it sounded so cool to own a car at my age. Bear with me.
"Good morning, sweetheart. Seb's just getting ready." Mrs. Arson welcomed me with a warm smile.
"That's okay, Mrs. Arson, but if you don't mind can we stop by to the flower shop first? I haven't picked up the roses I bought yet."
Mrs. Arson was just about to say something when Seb spoke from behind.
"You haven't got your roses yet? I got mine already."
"Well, good morning to you, too." I replied sarcastically. "How many white, pink, and red roses will you give?"
"Well that, my friend, is classified." He put on his infamous smirk and winked. "You'll know soon enough."
"Come on, kids. We're gonna be late." We follow his moms' order and got inside the car.
We arrived from school after I picked up the roses I bought. Seb kept on pestering me to let him see the roses since it was wrapped. I didn't let him because that would just ruin everything.
"Happy Valentines, idiots." Violet greeted us as she approached us.
"Happy Valentines!" Seb and I both said in unison.
"Wait, woah. Nice hair, Violet. It really suits you." Seb complimented her.
Violet was on the verge of screaming but
I gave her a look signaling to control herself, she chuckled and mouthed a thank you to Seb.Did I mention that they were wearing the same shirts? Seb was wearing a red v-neck shirt with black jeans and red sneaks while Violet was also wearing a red v-neck shirt paired with white skinny jeans and pink Keds with heart designs on it.
"I better get going," Seb breaks the silence. "Guess I'll see you girls later." He took one last glance at Violet then went to his locker.
Oh no he didn't. Was that what I thought it was? Maybe Seb liked Vi, too. They're going to be a great couple! I'm gonna be so happy for them but I would feel left out at the same time now that I would become a third-wheel. I hope I'd find the man of my dreams ASAP so that we could all live happily ever after.
ANYWAY...
We were now preparing for the big event, we all started to unlock our lockers and hope that someone drops a rose at our lockers.
