Alex Griffin wants to be your friend
Confirm / DeleteIs this really him? Must be some poser. I won't confirm him until I see his timeline.
Oh god.
Oh no.
It is him.
Holy shit.
He's so hot.
Damn! Almost a thousand likes?!
Look at those abs!
Okay, I needed to stop. Those were enough evidence that it was really him. He had almost reached the maximum limit of friends, he had numerous likes on his pictures and posts, and he updated everyday. Therefore, I conclude that this was no poser. It was the real deal.
So, there you have it. Confirmed!
Ting!
I'm not sure if ting was the appropriate word for the sound of messenger but, whatever.
Alex Griffin: hey there, sunshine. ;) thanks for confirming. xoxo
Me: no, problem. no problem at all. :D
Yeah, I'm just... keeping it cool, play casual. Yet deep down, butterflies were invading my stomach, my heart was beating rapidly like I went for a run or something. Oh, and I was smiling like an idiot. Just like that guy from The Mask. Really if he saw that, maybe he would regret sending me a message.
Alex: ;)
Me: can i ask you a question?
Alex: you're already asking. ;)
Son of a! Okay, okay. Keep it cool.
Me: seriously, why are you calling me 'sunshine'?
Seen. Active a few seconds ago.
Great, he must totally think I'm insane, a creep, a weirdo. Which I actually kind of am.
I started to ask myself, why do I even like him? He just recently acknowledged my presence after years of being in the same school as him.
He's also bipolar. I mean, one time he's all so friendly and next he'll act like a douchebag.
I know that behind a negative persona is a kind and gentle one but seriously, why do I like him?

Two days had passed since Valentines Day. I haven't been receiving notes from that so-called S.A anymore. I felt kind of relieved, because if it was really Seb, I don't know what I should really do, or how should I react.
"Why are you staring at your locker? Aren't you going to open it yet?"
That husky voice made me jump from surprise.
Alex.
"Did I scare you, sunshine?"
"And you're happy that you scared me?" I said. "I was having a moment, Griffin."
"What moment? Staring at your locker for almost five minutes?" He teased.
"Okay, okay. I just feel like there's something wrong, something missing." I admitted to him.
"Why do you think so? Is it because you left something at home, books or something?"
"Maybe... I don't really know."
"Maybe you're just overthinking," he shrugged. "See you at class, sunshine." He winked and left me.
Dear mental journal,
This is the first time Alex and I had a REAL conversation! I will never forget this moment in my entire life!Violet interrupted me from jotting through my mental journal by hugging me from behind.
"Bestie! What are you still doing here? We have to get to class. Come on!"
I didn't say a word and just followed her to class. When we arrived at the classroom, I saw Seb impatiently sitting on his chair as if he's waiting for someone. When he saw me, his eyes showed guilt and worry.
"Ivory! I've been waiting for you! Did you receive my texts?"
Oh, he sent me a text earlier that his mom couldn't pick me up because he had to go early for football practice.
"Yes, I did. It's really okay, Seb. Mom drove me to school. I didn't get a chance to reply because I was in a hurry. I woke up late."
He sent me numerous texts, apologizing that I couldn't hitch a ride with them. This guy really loved to overreact.
"Thanks for understanding, Ivory. Man, I really thought you were mad at me."
I suppressed a giggle. Seeing him like this was really funny.
"Oh, great." He said. "Laugh all you want."
"Sorry, Seb. I can't help it! But really, I understand." and I gave him a reassuring smile.
"Thanks, Iv." he gave me a genuine smile.
Classes went on smoothly, there weren't any home works given. I sat alone in the cafeteria while waiting for Vi. Violet was still in her drama club while Seb and his teammates had a quick lunch meeting.
So, there I was. Alone, with a grilled cheese sandwich and apple juice and watched people come and go.
"Is this seat taken?" said a familiar voice from behind.
"N-no! T-take it!" I said while stuttering and awkwardly laughing, completely making a fool out of myself.
"OK. Well, do you mind if I join you?"
Did he just... say that?
"I-It's okay! I don't mind."
He sat beside me and placed his tray on the table. He sat beside me.
I repeat - He sat beside me.
That was too awkward.
Tell me what you think by leaving a comment. :)
