Seriously, I had no idea where Alex was taking me. If only I hadn't skipped school. It's all because of Nick. The way he looked at me earlier instantly made me storm out of school. Which I didn't know exactly why.
No, it's all my fault I got stuck with the last person I wanted to be with at the moment.
"You alright?" he asked me, staring at the familiar street ahead.
I inhaled deeply, thinking of what might be in store for me, "Think so. Where are we going? I've been meaning to ask this since we hit the road, you know."
He gazed at me. I wished he would stop. It would make my anger towards him fade away, which I didn't want to happen. It's too early for that.
But really, I wanted him to stop. He should be focusing on the road dammit!
When he regained his focus back on the road, I thanked the heavens. A second longer of his stare would make my heart melt. Or cause us an accident.
"We're going to my place for a bit. Gotta grab something first then we'll leave right away."
Oh no. His place? Has he gone mad or something?
"We have school! What would your parents think when they find us on their doorstep!" Plus, it's his house we're going to. His parents are in there. His parents. Which I never met before! Thinking of just waiting for him in his car would be a good choice, though.
"Dad's out of town for business. Mom's pretty chill. It'll be fine, Ivory." he shrugged.
We took a turn, and immediately my eyes wandered to the houses in the neighborhood. I admired at their beauty. They're mostly modern. Then we halted in front of an enormous house. It instantly made me conclude that Alex and his family are indeed rich. Duh.
"Wow, it's so beautiful," I gawked.
"Thanks," he winked. "Come, let's go inside."
The thought of her mother inside the house, made me nervous to go with him. What if she thinks I was a bad influence to Alex? Seeing that we should be at school right now.
"Mom?" He called out.
Stepping inside, I was gawking at how amazing their living room looked like. Man, why do handsome guys like him tend to be rich? It felt like I was one of those ordinary girls in books who falls for rich guys. Not because for their money, but for something else. Something the girls see in the guy that they had never seen them act or do that in front of other people.
