Okay, I had my fair share of reasons why I updated late. a) I felt lazy, tbh. b) I forgot to update last week, sorry. c) I wanted this chapter to be precise and at least long bc it's finally the revelation! Well, at least I'm true to my words that I'll be updating on Saturdays. It's Saturday. So...

Many, many thanks to AinaRahman for giving me ideas. :) I wouldn't have reached this far without her help. She actually knows who S.A is so she probably won't read this chapter haha. Again, thank you AinaRahman :)

P.S I'll let you guys know when to play the music. Well, that's if you want to. Hihihi

I was preparing myself for prom for the whole day. I thought I should look at least presentable. Being Alex Griffin's date was kind of a big deal for me.

One hour left before Alex picks me up. I got to admit, I looked nice. Mom and I pulled it off perfectly. Dad took the day off just so he could help me get prepared. I felt so lucky to have parents like them that's why I treasure them with all my heart.

I was staring at myself in the mirror for minutes when mom and dad left me to get changed. I was glad Vi and I bought this dress. It suited nicely on me.

I decided I was ready and went out of my room. My parents were waiting for me downstairs and when I arrived, they stopped laughing and looked at me with wide eyes.

"How do I look?" I happily asked.

Mom immediately approached me and gave me a quick hug. "Ivory, dear, you look beautiful!"

I couldn't help but blush at her statement. It was really rare for me to get complimented by people. I didn't know it actually felt that good, until she said those words.

"Thanks, mom," I returned the hug. I looked at dad and waited for him to say something. To which he gave me a wide grin and a thumbs-up. I smiled at this.

On cue, the doorbell rang and immediately, my heart was beating so fast. Why was he so early? I couldn't help but bite my nails due to nervousness which got me scolded by dad. According to him, biting nails was bad manners.

Mom went to open the door, which took her a while. When she came back, she was bringing three boxes of pizza.

"Mom, where's Alex? I thought that was him?" I asked.

She shook her head and giggled, "Unless Alex was still doing his part time job as a delivery boy, then no, Ivory, that wasn't him."

A pang of relief hit me. False alarm.

"Relax, dear." Mom soothed me. "It's not like he'll run away if he sees you. He surely won't. He'll probably cling onto you because of guys checking you out." She winked.

I snorted. Yeah, he'll probably run along as soon as he lands his eyes on my ugly face.

I then remembered the text he sent me before. I picked my phone from my purse and re-read the text.
