Epilogue

After twenty years we were finally home. Zane wrapped his arms around me. I leaned into him.

"It took us a long time but we're finally home."

"I'm sorry."

"What are you sorry for?"

"I'm sorry for not hunting my brother down and dragging him back. Because of him you had to spend so many years of your life on a planet you know you'd eventually have to leave again."

"It wasn't all bad."

"So you admit there was some bad."

"We got to raise Zachary and Ariana somewhere safe. We didn't have to worry about being attacked because we're a threat to the other planets. We've lived twenty years of bliss. I should thank you for that. We should be thanking Elijah for that. Do you think the planet will ever be the same again?"

"It will in time."

We didn't say anything for many minutes. We stood in silence watching over our family and friends down below. We had agreed that everyone would stay with us until it was safe for them to return to the north kingdom. For now both kingdoms were combined and everyone was okay with that. I'd make it my duty to pay close attention to Alexis. She was scared about this pregnancy because the first one was a difficult one. I didn't understand why. Alexis' powers are of the universe, it shouldn't be hard for her. I guess it was up to the universe to dictate who has it easy or who doesn't have it easy.

"We'll keep a close eye on her. She'll need the support since she's already so worried."

I smiled. Zane always knew how to make me feel better. I watched my sister with her mate, the mate she chose over everything else, and the love of her life. They were great together. She's good for him and he's good for her too. Chad worships the ground Alexis walks on. My sisters were happy and so was I. We deserved to be happy after all the things we've been through.

"We should get ready for dinner." I nodded. We'd planned a big dinner where everyone would sit down and relax and be happy.

"How much time do we have?" I closed the door and stepped into the room behind him.

"Half an hour."

"That's more than enough time."

"More than enough time for what?"

"I think you know."

"We are not having sex right now. We'll never be done in time."

"Are you refusing me?"

"Of course not."

"That's what I thought." I pulled him down on top of me. That was all the motivation he needed. He took me greedily. I was just as greedy for him as he was for me. It was an hour before Zane and I made it down to the dinner that we had planned.

"It's so nice of you to join us," Elijah drawled. "Were you two working on number three?"

"Ignore him," Zane whispered. "His jealousy is showing." I sat beside Zane with a satisfied smirk on my face. While everyone in this house was getting some, Elijah wasn't getting any. We never missed a chance to flaunt it in his face. Raven and Luna sat next to him being their usual quiet self. Ariana had taken it upon herself to be Luna's protector, so she sat beside her, and of course Zachary was beside Ariana. Alexcia Carmen sat between her parents chattering away excitedly. Adam was in Adrian's lap where he could keep an eye on him. That little boy seemed fascinated with burning things. I can't have him burning down the kingdom every chance he gets. Alyssa and the twins sat on Adrian's left along with Kai and Diana who had been staring at Zane since we sat down. She had a crush. It was cute. The council was back on official duty; therefore Aiden wasn't able to join us for dinner. They left to get a head start on rebuilding the planet. Zander left with them. His plan is to find all the witches of planet Atron and send them home. I have no doubt that he will succeed.

Although Elijah had returned it would take some time before things are back to the way they used to be. It would take a lot of hard work, but everyone that could chip in would do so. Eventually our people would start to return and also help. Atron had become barren. It was a wasteland. Our kingdom now stood on dirt, but I have faith that everything will be fixed in due time.

Dinner was filled with chatter and laughter. These were sounds I hope to hear every day moving forward; the sound of a family's happiness.

After dinner everyone left to do their own thing. For Alexis and Chad we all knew what that entailed.

"Walk with me," Zane whispered in my ear. I smiled. I loved this man so much that even a few words could have me smiling like an idiot. I suppose it's understandable. Zane is a treasure to me. He's like a precious stone I found at the bottom of an ocean that kept me alive while I was dying. He came to me at a point in my life when I needed him most. He loved me, protected me and cared for me even when I didn't want him to.

"Do you think the planet will ever recover?"

"Did you think that you would have?"

"I'd tell you to stay out of my head but I know you won't. To answer your question, no I didn't. I didn't think I would ever trust another man again or truly love one."

"But you did."

"I did."

"So there is still hope for Atron. As long as we're alive and we're here there is hope. She might have been conquered, battered and bruised, but she'll recover." He lowered himself to the ground in a crouch and moved his hand over the dirt. Grass started to spring up. That small area was now covered in green. "There is always hope, Aria." He got to his feet and pulled me into his arms. There was no resistance from me. "I think it's time we start working on that third child. I did promise you three." I laughed.

"It hadn't even occurred to me that we'd even stopped."

"Good point. So?"

"I don't think we'll have to work very hard. The third is already on the way."

"Are you serious?"

I nodded. "I had Aiden examine me this morning. I'm pregnant. According to his expert examination our child is about seventy-two hours old."

"That guy is really creepy."

"He's the Oracle. What do you expect?"

Zane pulled me closer and caressed my cheek. I stared up at him with that special look reserved only for him. He stared down at me with a similar look. I spoke before he could. "Thank you for loving me." His fingers continued stroking my cheek.

"Thank you for allowing me to love you."

He kissed me and everything felt right. We were home, but if I was to be honest, Zane was my home. That simply meant I never left.

The end!!!

Thank you all for sticking with me through this third book. I know you probably were expecting a lot more, but I think this story has come to an end. That is why I did the time jump. It's a happy ever after for everyone.
