What nonsense was this fool saying? I'm Elijah and I'm Zane. Hysterical laughter spilled from my lips. There is no way I would believe this bullshit. I cannot afford to believe this crap. What sins have I committed to be stuck with a life like this? I wasn't a bad child. Hell, I wasn't even a bad adult. So what did I do wrong to deserve a fate such as this? The planet was under attack and instead of being out there defending it I was stuck inside with crazy Elijah stuck in an equally crazy Zane's body trying to convince me they're one person. I laughed again. This must be a dream. No, this was a fucking nightmare.

"Aria." Those blue-gray eyes focused on me. I giggled some more. This was crazy. I was going crazy. "Come here little fox." Hysterical giggles escaped me again because that's what Zane called me the first time we met.

"Which one of you am I talking to now?" He smirked in that familiar way only Zane does.

"Do you really not know your own mate?"

"Do you really expect me to buy into this crap?"

"Good point."

His eyes bored into me with an intense look. "Stop looking at me like that."

"Like what?"

"Like that."

He chuckled. "I'm not sure how exactly I'm looking at you. I always look at you like this."

"It's weird."

"Why?"

"It just is. A few minutes ago I was talking to Eli and now you're telling me you're not Eli but Zane. It's weird."

"You can't tell us apart."

"It's not about that. I just wish everyone was in their own body."

"You're having dirty thoughts right now, aren't you?"

"What? No."

"You want to hug me and kiss me but you're afraid you'll be hugging and kissing Elijah."

"That is not it at all."

"Come here, Aria." There was nothing I could deny this man. I walked into his arms willingly and sighed at the comfort. "Everything will be fine. Don't worry about the temporary setbacks right now. When I'm in control you'll know it's me. When Elijah is in control you'll know it's him. For now we'll just have to deal with this the best we can until we figure out how to get us back where we all belong."

"It's still weird. What if we can't fix this?"

"So you do think I'm Zane."

I frowned. "Don't you think I know my own mate? What will happen if this can't be reversed?"

"Well I think you'll be stuck with me, and Elijah."

"What about Eva?"

"What about her?" He shrugged. "Evangeline isn't my top priority. You are. Also from what I've gathered the mating process between the two wasn't completed for whatever reason."

"But they're mates. It doesn't matter if it was completed or not. He'll always be drawn to her."

"He'll be drawn to you too."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that if my brother had any feelings at all towards you that weren't influenced by the spell our mother cast then he will be drawn to you now more so than ever. He has access to my feelings, Aria. It's not hard to see him leaning more towards you that Evangeline."
