Chapter 20: Friends?

Ashley POV

I slept all the way home. It was a long ride but we didn't make any stops I guess. When we go home I walked into my bedroom, and dad went to his room to go to bed. I put my bags in my bed and looked at the time. It was 6:40 in the morning. I grabbed my phone and went on Instagram and posted a picture of Hailie and I.

Then I thought about it. Best friend? I forgot about Hannah! I went on my dear turned on the lamp and grabbed the paper with her number on it. I called her. I didn't expect her to answer but she did.

H: hello? Who is this?

A: um its ash..

There was a silence.

H: I thought you said you would call and text me every day. It's been like three days since you been gone. You broke the promise.

A: I couldn't call you. I'm sorry. Nancy turned my phone off so I smashed it. I got a new phone yesterday and I went to my dads friends house than got put in the hospital. I'm sorry Hannah.

H: Yeah I know you where at his friends house because you posted a picture of you and your best friend on Instagram.

A: Hannah you are my best friend. You always will be. You know for a fact that I'm not good at making friends now that I met Hailie, I have more people to talk to. Not just one person

H: Oh... So your saying I'm not good enough. That you need more attention by other people. That's all you want is attention because you never had it growing up. Now that your living with a big name rapper and best friend with the best rapper in the worlds kid, trust me babe you will get all the attention you need. I hope that your happy. By the way, I got offered a family that wanted me. They are super fricking rich and live in California. But I told them no because I don't want to be far away from you. Now I regret saying no.

A: (I began to cry.) Oh my god Hannah! Why would you do that. Now I hate myself thanks b!tch!

I hung up the phone. I sit on my bed and cry my makeup runs all over my face. I hear a soft knock on my door.

"Monster? Are you ok hunny?" My dad said. "Can I come in?"

"Yeah dad come on in." I wipe some of the tears off my face. Most likely spreading it more around my face.

"Hey girl, I heard you yell and i thought something was wrong. I see there is?"

"Not really dad. My best friend Hannah from the home told me that all I want is attention and she declined a family that offered to take her so she can be with me. And she got mad because I haven't called her at all. Now I feel like I screwed everything up. I hate myself. OH MY GOD!" I balled as I sat in his lap.

"Awe, I'm sorry Hun. You know threw out your life you will lose people who you thought where your best friends get some sleep and maybe we can talk to her tomorrow."

"Ok." I gave him a hug. "I love you daddy!"

"I love you to." He said as he kissed me on the forehead. "Now go to bed and get some sleep. I'll make breakfast tomorrow morning."

"Ok. Night." My dad walked out of the door. "Wait!"

"Yeah?"

"Can we have chocolate covered bacon?"

He chuckled. "Sure."

The next morning....

I wake up to the smell of bacon. I wake up and put my bra on. I had stomach cramps probably because I'm nervous about my first day of school. I look in my mirror. Wow I'm lookin like crap. As I walked down the stairs I could hear the sound of music getting louder. I walk in the kitchen to see Wolf dancing to AC⚡️DC.

"Haller!!!" He said while taking a drink of his coke and jack. "How was your sleep?"

"Uhh. Good"

"Breakfast is done I'm just cleaning up."

"Ok."

We sat at the table and ate our chocolate covered bacon. It was so good. It was quite most of the time until he brought Hannah up again.

"So, do you still wanna be Hannah's friend?"

"Yeah."

"Have you talked to her at all?"

"No."

"Are you sad Monster?"

"No"

"Than what is wrong?"

"I'm fine."

"No you are not. Tell me what is wrong."

"Why?"

"Because I'm your father and I said so."

"Well damn!"

"Don't give me attitude."

I laughed a little. "I'm pissed because she just suspect that I don't like her or something."

"We will talk to her today. I promise."

"Alright."

I went up stairs and took a shower. Once I got out I listened to Radioactive. I was bored out of my mind so I took a nap. When I woke up it was about two in the afternoon. I could faintly here two people talking downstairs. I couldn't tell who it was tho. I put my hair up into a high pony tail and went downstairs. When I got down there i saw my dad and Hannah.

"The monster is awake." My dad said as he poured himself a glass of jack and coke.

"Yeah." I chucked. "Um hi Hannah."

Hannah just stared at me that ran up to me and hugged me. "Ashley, I'm so sorry for saying all of them hurtful things I'm so sorry. I do love you like a sister and I don't know what I would do without you. I hope I didn't ruin our friendship."

"Hannah I love you!" And hugged her back.

"So that was  easier than I thought." Wolf said.

We both laughed. "Hey dad Hannah and I are going to go chill in my bedroom."

"Yeah but I'm going to be leaving. I'm going to hang out with Travis today."

"Alright that sounds chill."

"Ok I'm probably gonna head out now. What do you want for dinner?"

"Whatever you want it don't matter."
"Alright I'll be back in a few hours."

"K. Oh. Do you know how hailies doing?"

"Not for sure, I'll talk to you in a bit. Love you babe."

"Love you dad."
