Chapter 10

Peek a boo! xD Guys, I only have three days of school left!! Yay!! xD Anyway, onto the story.

Chapter 10

"Stop!" I yelled as i ran through the alley. I ran and ran, I was so out of breath but I couldn't stop running. "Help me!" I screamed as I jumped over a wall into a park. I landed hard and I twisted my ankle. I tried to get up, but it was hopeless, the man had pinned me down so I couldn't get up. I shook underneath him. "P-p-please." I sobbed. "Just... l-l-leave m-me alone!!" I screamed as I pushed and kicked under him. But the man was strong, he held me down and pulled a gun out of his pocket and put the gun to my head, his fingers threatening to pull the trigger.

"Amanda!" he yelled in my ear. I screamed.

"LEAVE ME ALONE, DON'T KILL ME PLEASE!!" I screamed and I continued to cry.

"Amanda! Amanda! Amanda!" he shouted trying to calm me so I would stay still. But I continued to kick around.

"Amanda!?" he screamed, but his voice sounded full of concern and sad. He screamed my name. " Amanda!! Amanda wake up..."

"Amanda! Amanda wake up please!" Jake shouted at me. Tears were running down his face when I opened my eyes. Thank god, it was all a dream. I looked around. My blankets were on the ground, I was shaking like crazy, and poor Jake looked as pale as a ghost. Was he really that terrified? I checked to see what time it was. 2:00 in the morning? Ah shittttttt.

"Jake, I'm so sorry!" I started to sob. I didn't mean to scare him so badly. I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck and sobbed into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held on to me tightly.

"Shh, shh, shh, shh, Amanda, it's ok. Shhh, it was just a dream, its over. Its ok, I got you. I won't let anyone hurt you." he whispered and rocked me. He rubbed his hand in circles around my back to comfort me. Soon, I had stopped crying and I got the hiccups. Jake chuckled and I just grinned. "Hey, Amanda? " he asked. I sat up and looked at him. "What was your dream about?" he asked.

I tucked a peice of hair behind my ear. "Well," I said. "I was running through the *hiccup* alley away from a man who was trying to kill me. I was running and then I *hiccup* had to jump the wall to get away, but I landed wrong and then I twisted *hiccup* my ankle so I fell. And then he was about to kill me when he started to yell my *hiccup* name and thats when I woke up." I said. "J-jake. I'm *hiccup* so sorry that I scared you I didn't , mean to." I said sadly. I looked down, I didn't want him to see the tear that was running down my cheek. He lifted my chin so I could see the outline of his face. The moonlight shown through the window, and it hit his face just enough for me to see his piercing blue eyes staring into my brown ones.

"Amanda. Don't worry ok? That will never happen, I will always be there to protect you, it's ok. Don't worry, I got you. I love you so much." what he said made me smile.

"I love you too." I leaned my head into his chest and closed my eyes. He started to sing to me.

"It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you. There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do. Just like the rain down in Africa, it's gonna take some time but I know you're worth fighting for... I'll fight for you." he sang to me softly. I loved that song-Fight For You by Jason Derulo- it was so sweet and I loved it, especially since Jake sang it to me every night, from that night on.

Chapter 11

Present Time

"Come on, babe, we have to get to school!" Jake yelled outside my door.

"Coming!" I shouted. I topped off my outfit with a cute little teal beanie. I looked in my mirror. I was really happy with my outfit: a white shoulder length shirt with teal colored jeans and white vans. I had on black mascara and a clear lipgloss. It was the last day of school, I couldn't wait for summer!!

I opened the door to see Jake with his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall opposite of my room. When he saw me, he stood up and snaked his arms around my waist. "You look beautiful, babe." he winked down at me. He leaned down and kissed my lips, most likely messing up my lipgloss. He grabbed my hand and led , me downstairs. We said goodbye and got in his car. I checked the time. It was only 7:45, school starts at 8:30, and we lived 5 minutes from school. Why did we leave so early?

We passed by the school and kept riding. "Jake, where are we going?" I asked. But I knew exactly where we were headed.

"Hmm, I don't know, I'm thinking... maybe, Starbucks?" he looked over at me with his eyebrow raised and a smirk on his face. It's been a while since we started dating, about three months ago. In that time, he's discovered that I love Starbucks. I had worked at Starbucks, actually, but then my mom needed help at a day care she works at, so I had to quit. When he found out my love for coffee, especially Starbucks, every once in a while he'll drive me over to Starbucks for a Java Chip, my favorite.

"Hi, how may I help you?" asked a male voice.

"Hello, can I have a tall Java Chip with extra whip cream, and a tall Caramel Macchiato?"

"Yeah, that'll be $6.76 at the first window please." said the voice again. Damn, I knew that voice. I knew it well, but it, couldn't be could it? No, there's no way.

"Okay, thank you." Jake said. I giggled, I love Starbucks.

"Thanks Jake." I grinned.

"Anytime, gorgeous." he leaned over the arm rest and pecked my lips. We pulled up to the window and I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Amanda?"
