Chapter 14
We had been walking around Park Place for about 1 hour and now we were walking to the movie theater to catch a movie. Suddenly, I heard something... no, someone, who made me stop dead in my tracks.
"Oh, Amandaaa?" I heard a singsong, mocking voice. I closed my eyes, and turned on my heels with a fake smile.
"Tracy?" I asked. She looked at me up and down in disgust, her two sisers, Grace and Hailey standing by her side. Grace looked simpathetically at me, and i half smiled before turning to her bitch of a sister. "What a pleasant suprise!" I said, sarcasm dripping from every word I said.
"I thought that was you!" she smirked. Then she looked over at Jake, and she jumped into flirty mode. "And who is this?" she asked, flirtatiously. Jake rolled his eyes in response, and shoved her away, then getting closer to me and grabbing my waist firmly.
"This is my boyfriend." I said, emphasizing the words "my boyfriend".
"Not for long..." she smirked. She walked towards him and tried to kiss him, but not before I grabed her hair and threw her to the ground. "Get your fu**ing hands off my boyfriend you bitch!" I yelled. She looked frightened, but quickly replaced it with mischievousness. She stood up and swung at my face, hitting my jaw. That just fueled the fire.
I kicked her in the stomach and pulled her hair some more. I knew it hurt because her hair was long, and because she was screaming at the pain. Jake looked like he wanted to stop the fight, and so did Grace and Hailey, but nobody wanted to get hurt because they knew I'd pouce on them as easily as I pounced on her.
When she tried to punch me in the face again, I grabbed her wrist in time and twisted it till she was crying. I was so thankful that nobody called the cops, and that people were so engrosed in the fight that they didn't even care about calling them beause of the cat fight in front of them.
Finally, I pushed Tracy on the ground, and punched her one last time.
"I swear to god bitch," I breathed out, "you touch my boyfriend again, and I will fucking hurt you.". Jake shook his head in a what-am-I-going-to-do-with-you look, and I smiled innocently. He took my hand in his, and we began to walk away as I called over my shoulder, "Next time you think twice before you mess with the daughter of an ex-boxer, bitch.". I then smirked.
"I-I will f-ucc-king get you, A-Amanda!!" Tracy yelled. But she didn't phase me. Sure, she ruined my life in the past. But, after all, that's the past, and I've put it behind me. Plus, from now on, I'll keep my guard up.
Everybody who crowded around walked away, minding their own business again. Most of the people were teenagers, and other just regular women who probably understood how I felt about wanting to be protective over my boyfriend.
"Manda, what the hell was that?" Jake asked me as we rounded another wing. He lead me outside to talk.
"What was what?" I feigned innocence.
"You know very well what the hell I'm talking about. Don't play dumb with me. Now, who the hell, and what the hell, was that?" he asked, whisper yelling so if anybody walked past, they wouldn't hear our conversation.
I sighed. "Jake... this isn't the time, nor the place. Can we talk about this later, please?" I asked, tears brimming my eyes. The LAST thing I wanted to talk about was my past. He seemed to realize that I didn't want to talk about it, because his eyes softened and he pulled me into a huge bear hug i needed so badly. "Hey, Amanda, I think I found a new nickname for you." he smiled as he pulled away.
I grinned and rolled my eyes. "Oh yeah? And what would that be?".
He smirked before he answered. "Brownie." he said simply. I giggled.
