Dane could talk the clouds out of the sky and the shine from the sun. The world was an echo of his words and I a whisper of his mind. That was a comment made after the lesson taught by Dane and Gloria, I felt sick and yet I never felt more sure, but yet I knew one thing, Dane was crazy, but yet he was right, it was the time to stand up and knock the Government down.

I sat on the bus home and taught back to all that had been said.

Dane talked about his daughter, who was named after Gloria, she was only ten when the Government took her away, she was only a child, unaware to the chaos that surrounded her. Dane wanted revenge and to stop it from happening again. Almost everyone's eyes were filled with tears, mine included as he spoke about her and his ideas.

"I believe the world is sick, not the cells in our bodies but the minds of those in charge, we are restricted by the fear of the hands of man, and those hands come in the night and remove the world from a family home, they take and take, and they shall take no more, we can and we shall rise against these bounds that are set in action, we will fight and we will be victorious in changing the world, for what is life without touch, without comfort, without hope and security, it is nothing and we will be nothing if we do not stand up and take action".

I wrote that phrase in my notebook as Derek stared out into the world. That was what Dane had said as he stood in front of a listening crowed, he looked storng and proud as his words filled the crowds veins.

"That was powerful, wasn't it?" Derek whispered to me, "It really was Derek, I never knew someone could speak in such ways".

The bus came to a stop and we exited we the small crowd that exited, Derek and I walked side by side as he offered to walk me home. We made small talk and yet nothing could take my mind off of what had happened earlier.

We turned the corner onto my street and I was taken back by what I saw.

My house was covered by at least thirty men all in white over alls, my mother and father stood by three men, my mother was crying as my father stood with a look of disbelief on his face as he watch the men enter and leave our home.

I ran to them and caught my mothers attention.

"Oh god, Ann" she cried, "you're safe", "what, what's going on?" I questioned while looking at the men, "they're looking for Chris, they think we're helping him hide, they, they tore the house apart" she cried.

I turned to my dad who stared a the house with watering eyes, it broke my heart to see them this way.

Derek walked towards me and sighed, "everyone ok?" he asked, we all replied in desperate mumbles, "I'm going to go home and let you all deal with this, I'll text you later Ann" I nodded and just stared at the wreck in my garden.

As they all left I watched with angry eyes, that turned to shock when the man from the night before Chris went missing walked through my front door, I turned quickly and faced the opposite direction till they all got into their cars and left, they took my mothers hope and my fathers pride with them.
