Peyton's P.O.V
There was a throbbing in my head when I woke up. At first all I could do was hear voices. I instantly recognized Dereck's. After a few moments I recognized Kayden's. I heard Kayden tell him to drink, I'm assuming what was blood. A few minutes had passed by and I finally could move. I tried moving my fingers first and then tried opening my eyes.
It was hard at first, but after a few moments I finally was able to open my eyes all the way. I looked over beside me and seen Dereck and Kayden. Dereck was sitting beside me on the bed, while Kayden was standing next to him. Dereck had not noticed I was awake until Kayden had elbowed him and looked over at me. Dereck finally got the message and looked over, when he looked at me he instantly smiled. Almost like it was involuntary. I smiled back at him.
" You look like crap." Kayden said.
" Well, go through what I just went through and tell me you don't feel like it either." I replied.
" Point there," he said and then smiled at me. " Glad your awake P, maybe you can get Prince Charming here to eat, bathe and sleep."
I looked over at Dereck and frowned. He really looked like he had not ate or slept at all. Dereck leaned over and pulled me into a tight hug, I screamed out in pain. Dereck quickly let go of me and moved across the room using his vampire speed.
" I'm so sorry Peyton, I didn't mean to hurt you." Dereck said.
" Its okay Dereck, you didn't know." I replied and then smiled softy at him.
He moved back over to sit beside me. He pulled me into another hug, this time much softer. I hesitantly put my arms around him, careful not to hurt myself even more. We stayed like this for a few minuets until Kayden spoke up.
"Wait a minute." Kayden said and then waked around to my side of the bed.
Dereck pulled back and I let my arms drop from around him. Kayden grabbed my face gently and looked into my eyes. After a few minuets he let go of my face and looked at Dereck.
"Didn't you have to turn her or else she would have died?" Kayden asked Dereck, and all of the memories came flashing back, and i finally remeberd. I was supposed to be dead, well undead. I was supposed to be a vampire, a monster who lives off of blood and can never age. I was supposed to become the thing i hated most, but it would all be worth it, because Dereck would be with me through all of it.
