Ch. 23

Kayden's P.O.V

I ended the call with Alex and walked back into the house, down the hall back into Dereck's room. Dereck and Peyton were laying on the bed, Peyton's head on Dereck's chest, while him running his fingers through her hair.

I cleared my throat to get their attention, before saying, " Alex is on his way, and is very interested to meet you, Peyton."

Peyton sent a small smile towards me and nodded her head, while Dereck forced a small smile and nodded, and then going back to messing with Peyton's hair. I walked back out of the bedroom to give them some privacy before Alex got here.

Dereck's P.O.V

I heard Kayden leave the room and Peyton turned to face me.

" Who is Alex? " she asked.

I laughed a little before looking down at her and answering, " The most arrogant, stubborn, rude and self-centered person you will ever meet."

Peyton laughed and then looked back at me, " You mean just like you? "

I could tell she was teasing me, because the corners of her mouth were twitching upwards. I used my vampire speed and sped across the room. Peyton jumped out of the bed and ran to the side of the room I was on, but she wasnt quick enough, I had sped to the opposite side of the room.

"No fair," she pouted, "your cheating."

"Oh yeah?, Well so are you." I said.

"How am I cheating?" She questioned.

"Nice pjs." I said while smirking. It was true Peyton was cheating. She had on a thin, white tank top, that you could see her bra through, and short balck shorts, that came down just below her butt.

She gasped and looked down to see what she was wearing, before taking off towards me, but I was still "cheating" as Peyton put it and sped across the room. Just before she was about to take off again, there was clapping coming from the doorway.

" As amusing as this show has been, I believe I am here for a reason?"
