Ch. 16

Peyton's P.O.V

After a long car ride we finally made it to where Kayden and the others were. We walked inside the hotel and met Kayden in the lobby. Kayden handed Dereck a room key.

"There is three rooms total. Me, Zack and Benny are sharing one, Chris, Kayleigh, and Fred in one and you and Peyton in another." Kayden said.

"Sounds good." Dereck replied.

Kayden started walking and motioned us to follow him. We followed him into the elevator and he pressed the button to take us up to the 7th floor. The elevator ride was silent, everyone lost in their own thoughts and you could only hear the annoying music they play in the background. There was a ding and the elevator came to a stop. We followed Kayden down the hall and he stopped at room number 489.

"This is my room, 498 is where Chris and them are staying and your room is number 515." he said and then walked inside his room.

Dereck took my hand and led us down to our room. He used the key and unlocked the door. We walked inside and I immediately went and laid down on the big queen sized bed. Dereck laughed at me and then came and laid down beside me.

"Is Xavier a vampire to?" I asked.

"No. Xavier is a very old warlock, one of the most powerful in all of the United states."

"Why do we need him?" I asked.

"The castle is protected by a spell. You can only get on the island if one of the people inside it invite you in, and Xavier is powerful enough to take down the spell but just for 12 hours."

I nodded my head and didn't say anything else. We laid in silence next to each other and just enjoyed each others company. After a while Dereck finally broke the silence.

"I have a question for you, but before I ask I need to explain something."

I was about to reply when someone knocked on the door. I looked over at Dereck, and he looked back at me.

"Go get the door." I told him.

"You go get it." he replied.

We both stayed where we were on the bed until the knocking became more rapid and quite loud. I groaned and got up off the bed to answer the door, but not before I gave Dereck the deadliest glare, he just smiled back at me. Jerk. I opened the door and Kayden stood in the doorway.

"We are having a meeting in my room, I think we have a plan."
He said.

"Okay lets go." I said.

I looked back at Dereck and this time it was his turn to glare at me, I just smiled and threw my arm around Kayden and we walked out the door. We didn't get five feet before I was pulled back and into Derecks arms. He leaned down and whispered in my ear.

"I'll get you back for that."

I turned around and whispered back, "Bring it on."

Over the last few days me and dereck have become closer. The car rides definitely helped. On the way there I would ask him questions about himself and on the way back he would ask me. I learned that he was extremely jealous whenever another guy was around me, his favorite color is sapphire blue, and his favorite place to go is the lake down the road from his mansion. He learned that I wanted to be an artist, my favorite color is yellow and i hate country music.

I was brought out of my thoughts when we stopped at Kaydens door. Kayden knocked on the door and the guy with pink hair opened it We walked inside and took a seat on the floor, because the others took up the beds.
Kayden laid out a map on the floor, the castle I'm assuming.

"Once Xavier takes down the spell we have 12 hours to get off. It will take three to hike through the forest to actually get to the castle. Dereck, Me and Chris go to the front, while the others and Peyton go to the back. They will most likely have wooden bullets so be careful. after you get inside the castle kill everyone in sight. After that we get the heck out of there and hope this is the end." Kayden said.

Dereck spoke up and said, "No. Peyton comes with me. End of discussion. "

The pink haired guy rolled his eyes as Kayden said okay.

"Is this it? Anything else to discuss?" I asked.

Kayden shook his head no and Dereck got up and then helped me up.

"Excuse us but we have something to do. " Dereck said as we walked to the door. When we got to the door he stopped and looked back at Kayden, "Go and find Xavier and bring him here and tell him the plan."

Before Kayden had a chance to reply Dereck pulled us both out of the door, into the hallway and shut the door behind him. We walked down the hall to our room and stopped at the door. Dereck unlocked the door and we stepped inside. As soon as we were inside, he closed the door and his lips were on mine. It took me minute to respond, but I eventually did. After a few minutes Dereck pulled back and let me catch my breath.

"What was that for?" I asked trying to catch my breath.

"I told you id get you back." He teased.

I laughed at went and sat down on the bed. He came and sat down next to me.

"Seriously I have a question." he said.

"Shoot."

"Can I claim you?"

"I know what that is, but how do you do it?

"Its quite easy. I drink from you the same time as you drink from me, and when were done youll have a small tattoo on your wist of my name and ill have yours."

I thought about it and finally nodded my head. Dereck bit the inside of his wrist and held it out to me and i held mine out to him. On the count of three we both bit into each others wrist. This was by far the best experience I've had when Dereck was drinking from me. He stopped the same time as i stopped and then licked my wound closed, and then his. I looked at my wrist and sure enough in small black cursive letters read the word Dereck, and on his Peyton but only his lettering was in blue. I laid down and so did he and after a few minutes we both fell in to a comfortable sleep.
