Dereck's P.O.V
" Didn't you have to turn her or else she would have died?" Kayden asked me.
I looked over at Peyton, she had looked like she just seen a ghost. I put my arm around her and pulled her closer to me, but being careful not to hurt her. She snuggled in closer to me and closed her eyes. With Kayden's constant pacing it was hard to think strait, and I couldn't take it much longer. Peyton had fallen asleep and it was the perfect time to talk to Kayden first. I carefully got off the bed, careful not to wake Peyton, and motioned for Kayden to follow me out of the room. I walked down the hall into the office.
" How is it even possible? I gave her my blood, she died afterwards, she should be one of us, you seen it." I asked Kayden.
" I don't know man, we should probably call Alex, he could help us." He said.
" Absolutely not. I am not letting that moron around Peyton."
" Dereck, I know you don't like him, and for good reasons to, I don't even like him much, and I know you wont let him hurt Peyton, and I wouldn't either, she's like a sister to me, but he is the only one who would know why she didn't turn."
Kayden was right. However stupid the guy is he's the only one who's been around long enough to know why. I knew if I agreed to this, I wouldn't leave Peyton alone, at all. I looked over at Kayden and said, " Fine, but you call him, and I wont leave Peyton alone with him, no matter what."
He nodded his head and pulled out his phone and walked out of the room and went outside to call Alex. I walked out of the room and back into my room, where Peyton was currently at. I walked in and Peyton wasn't in the bed, I started to worry, but the bathroom door opened and Peyton walked out. It looked like she had just got out of the shower. Her hair was damp and she had a different set of clothes on. I sat on the bed and waited for her to finish drying her hair off, and when she did she came and sat beside me.
" I know you have questions, and I'll try my best to answer them, but Kayden's on the phone with someone who will know how to answer them for sure." I told her.
