Chapter 3: : Safe at Home(Or are We?)

"Guys breakfast is ready!"

No response.

"Guys?"

Still no response. I went to the hallway that led to everyone's room. To my surprise everyone was still sleeping. First I went to Nikky's room. Right when I opened the door he woke up.

"I had a dream that you'd be coming and I woke to see if it was true. It still kind of creeps me out." He said sweating a little.

"It's alright. We all are still getting used to our abilities. Even me." I replied reassuringly.

"Thanks Alex for the pep talk."

"No problem. Oh hey breakfast is ready so get out of bed sleepy head." I said as I was walking out the door to Colts room.

"AAAAHHHHH!" I heard a yell from Mia's room( as if she didn't yell enough). I immediately transformed and ran to her room. I sprung open the door and Colt came right behind me along with Nikky.

"What's going on?!" Nikky yelled looking around.

"Are you hurt?!" Yelled Colt.

"Is everything okay?!" I yelled as well. As soon as I yelled I immediately knew why she screamed. She was flying? With wings? I'm just as confused as you are.

"What are you doing up there?" Asked Colt transforming back into human. As was I.

"I don't know! I got up outta bed and then my back started hurting. So I stretched and next thing I knew, I had 8 foot wings and was flying!! Get me down please!" Mia screeched.

"I will just calm down! Stop flapping your wings you keep hitting me in the face!" I yelled. Her wings hurt when it hits you in the face. I transformed into wolf form and jumped off the wall.As gently as I could I grasped onto her pink bunny slipper and brought down from the ceiling.

"Thank you Alex! I love you don't ever let me go please!" She was practically crying.

"It's okay Mia you're fine. All you did was fly up to the ceiling. You're not hurt and I would never let anyone hurt you. I love you too." I said. A tear running down my cheek.

"I never noticed how beautiful you looked as a wolf. A white wolf! Your blue eyes looked like they were staring into my soul!" She said now excited.

"Yes I'm beautiful, but that's not the point, what were you doing up there? You never told us you had wings." I said now more confused than ever.

"You looked like an angel! Your white wings are beautiful!" Yelled Nikky still staring at her wings.

"I told you already. I stretched and my wings came out. I didn't even know I had them until now! But I guess I should've been paying attention. My back did hurt when you were rescuing me. I'm sorry I had you so worried." She said.

"It's alright just don't try out flying unless you have me or Colt with you."

"Um guys..." Said Nikky looking behind him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I have wings too." He said taking off his shirt. He had little boy jelly rolls. And brown wings.

"So that makes 3 abilities for Nikky."said Colt exiting the room.

"Well Nikky, congrats on being a super human." Said Mia also exiting.

"Well Nikky you and Mia are gonna have to take flying lessons. C'mon we will train you later. Now what we need is to eat the breakfast I made." I said grabbing his hand and shirt. I gave it back to him and he put back on. We went to the kitchen with the others.

"This is pretty good eggs but...oh nevermind." Said Colt stuffing his mouth.

"What, what is it that you're going to say?"

"Oh nothing."

"No,no,no you were gonna say something about my cooking weren't you?"

"Fine, I was going to say that I cook better that's all." He said smirking.

"Oh really? I find that hard to believe." I said putting my hands on my hips.

"Okay I'll cook some eggs and bacon and we'll see who's better." He said running to the kitchen.

"Cook off!" Yelled Nikky jumping out of his seat.

After 20 minutes of cooking he was done. "Well what do you think Alex? Pretty good or what?" He said handing me a napkin.

"Alright now you can cook the meals everyday Mr. Master Chef." I said handing him the empty plate. He shrugged and put the plate in the sink.

After breakfast we went walking in the forest. Colt ran up a tree and sat on a branch(in wolf form). I guess he was making sure there was no danger from above. Mia went to a flower patch and started to pick flowers. Nikky was trying to fly and I was teaching him how( even though I don't know myself). We lived in the woods. Far away from any "normal" people.
"I had a vision. It's bad." Said Nikky looking around.

"What is it?" I asked ready to transform.

"The mutants are here." He said scared.

"EVERYONE INTO THE HOUSE NOW!" I yelled instantly transforming. But it was too late. They were already here. The mutants are half human half bull. Like a centaur but their legs were like bull legs with hooves and their arms were human. They were covered in hair from the waist down. They had two horns coming out of their head but yet were small. Before one of the 6 mutant gotta hit me, I scratched him in the face and ripped out his neck.I was bloody but I didn't care. Right when I was about to pounce onto the mutant attacking Nikky, I heard a screech come from the flower patch. 

Right when I heard the screech I knew it was my sweet little angel Mia. Apparently I wasn't paying attention behind me. A mutant hit me in the back of the head with his fist. I was so determined to get to Mia I wasn't paying attention to Colt and Nikky. I'm pretty sure Colt had a bloody nose and Nikky was juking them out tripping them onto the ground then stomping and punching. Mia was screaming bloody murder. As I was running towards her I saw them put a dirty sack over her head. I couldn't stand to see her like that. As I was running I got clotheslined. I noticed that the dog was actually fighting too. He was biting so ferociously. He was biting at their necks, face and body. He got two of them down. Then just as I was about to get up, I saw them hit the dog over the head with a rock he went down instantly. Just as I was about to get up, everything went black.
