~Alejandra's POV~
I wake up and jump out of bed. I run to the shower and quickly strip down. I quickly jump in and wash up. I then run out of the bathroom and into my closet. I go in and see the outfit I'm going to wear. It's a grey tank top, with light blue worn out shorts, white converse, beige cardigan, and white flower crown. I quickly throw it on and go back to the bathroom. I turn on my flat iron. While I wait for it to heat up, I just put on some mascara like always. I then straighten my hair and put my flower crown back on. I then look in the mirror to see what I look like. Wow. I look cute for once. I miss dressing like this. It's just been so long because we've been running for our lives and stuff.
So I walk out my bedroom door and bump into someone I haven't talked to in a while. Colt.
"Oh um sorry Alex I didn't see you." He said backing a little bit away. He then looks at me up and down. His eyes wide and mouth open.
"It's okay, I didn't see you either. Why are you staring at me like that?" I ask waving my hand in front of him. It seems like he's in a trance.
"What? Oh yeah, sorry I'm just not used to seeing you dressed up." He says snapping back into reality. I wonder if he's found his mate yet...
"Oh yeah, well this is me. Hey I was wondering....have you found your mate yet?" I ask my voice shaking a bit. I don't why I don't want him to be happy. I want him o find his mate but it's hard to see him with another girl. Even though I have my mate.
"Actually, yes. She's in the yard training. She's really strong and cool. Her name is Susie. Have you met her?" He asks. So much love in his eyes but it's not meant towards me. Wait, Susie the one I trained with yesterday?? Well she's cool I guess. But she did tackle me.
"Yeah I met her, I trained with her yesterday. She's really cool. I'm happy for you Colt. Even though we weren't meant to be, I still want you to be happy." I say putting my hand on his shoulder.
"Thanks I want you to be happy as well. So have you found your mate?" He asks. I can tell he wants me to say no because of the worry in his voice.
"Yeah, he's having his first shift in two days. So he'll know I'm his mate as well. I can't wait. But I'm not sure what to wear. I think I can have Susie help me. We're actually good friends." I say hoping he doesn't say or do anything bad. You know, like go up to my mate and start saying things like 'you better treat her right' or 'hurt her and I'm going to hurt you'.
"Who's your mate?" He asks curiously.
"Vincent." I say. Then I see him. He's going outside in the back with a guy.
"The Alphas son? That's your mate?" He asks in awe.
"Yes. Hey Colt it was nice hanging out and catching up, but I have to go. I'll see you later okay?" Then I run off and wave. He waves a little wave and walks to the kitchen. I run outside to see Vincent with two of his friends. As I walk closer I hear their conversation.
"Dude I can't wait to shift! It's gonna be amazing. I might find my mate when I shift. Man I hope she's as beautiful as this one girl I'm kinda crushing on." Vincent says punching the air with his fist.
"Yo man who's your crush?" A boy asked. Sorry I don't know his name.
"The new girl Alejandra. She's pretty hot." Vincent says. I start to blush. But I don't really want to hear anymore because who knows what boys might start talking about. I run up behind Vincent and scare him.
