Chapter 12 : : New York

~Alejandra's POV~

As I drifted off into sleep I began to dream about Mia.. I woke up in a room with her in my arms. She was sleeping. I tried to wake her but she was non responsive. I cried. Then I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and a soft voice that said "Its okay, she'll be fine." I then woke up.

So as we pass through Tennessee, I notice how close we are to her. I smile a little as I start to daydream about playing with her and making her smile again. I missed that feeling. I can't wait for someday to have a pup as my own. I'm too young for that anyways. I'm only 15...but it would still be nice.

I snap back into reality and realize that were crossing into Pennsylvania. Only a couple more states to go. I can't wait to find out whoever did this to her. I will rip out their guts then strangle them with their intestines. Afterwards I will tie them up somewhere using barbed wire. Violent aren't I? Well I'm sure you would be that protective over your sister or brother or anyone you truly care about and love deeply. A tear runs down my snout. I guess Colt saw me because he mind linked me.

'You okay Alex? Do we need to stop for a break?'

I shake the tear off my snout and mind link him back. 'Um...no. I'm completely fine. No need to stop. We need to keep going so we can save Mia in the next two days.'

'Two days? Doesn't that seem a little extreme to you? To travel through the entire Pennsylvania state then find the Landsons Laboratory in Albany New York?'

'No. Nothing seems hard to me. Except for doing something without being questioned. Have faith in me that I know what we're doing Colt. I would never let anyone harm you. Trust me when I say that.'

'That's funny. Aren't I supposed to be the one who doesn't let anything bad happen to you.' He smiled still running.

'I can handle myself sometimes. I don't always need your protection Colt.' I bumped him with my wolf body playfully as we were running.

'Hey! Don't be such a bully!' He let his tongue hang out of his mouth.

' I am not a bully!' I tripped him with my back paw. He went tumbling behind Kylie, Rufus, and me. We all stopped and shifted back. Kylie was the first to start laughing. Then I went on all fours holding my stomach and started to laugh. Rufus started rolling around barking playfully.

Colt shifted back as well. He got up and dusted himself off from all the dirt and leaves. "I told you that you were a bully." He stuck his tongue out at me.

"Hehe...maybe I am." I chuckled and went over to him to make sure he was alright. He had a few scratches but he was fine overall.

~~3 hours later~~

"New York huh...." I said in awe. All the lights and pictures and smell of food that's not pure animal.

"It's amazing isn't it? Ooohhh! Can we go to that store over there?! It has some cute boots in the window!" Kylie squeaked as she was jumping up and down while pointing to a pair or black boots in a window.

"No time. Maybe after we save Mia we can shop around. But we need to stay focused okay?" I say as I was pulling Kylie away from the window.

"But..but..fine...have it your way.." She mumbled.

"Yes I will have it my way Ms. Boots." I say sticking out my tongue.

"Hey! Colts right! You are a bully. Just cuz I want boots your gonna call me Ms. Boots? All though I don't mind...hehe" she chuckled.

"What can I say? I'm not a nice person. And just because you want those boots doesn't mean your gonna get them. I want Mia but that doesn't mean I'm gonna get her back by doing nothing. We have to work for what we want. If you want those boots, your gonna have to get the money yourself. Just like saving Mia. If I want her, I'm gonna have to hurt some people and do somethings my way." I reply looking for signs or something that might point me in the direction of Landson's Laboratory.

"Alex....we all want Mia. But we still like to be a teen. We loose track of somethings. No need to get mad okay? We're here for you. We're all upset. But we'll get there in a couple of hours."
Colt says as he leans in and hugs me. I feel butterflies and tears. I start to cry in his arms. I don't know why. I think it's because how much stress I'm in. And how badly I want Mia back. I start to cry even more and Colt hugs me tighter. He kisses the top of my head(since he's taller than me) and whispers 'everything is going to be alright' in my ear. As soon as he said that Kylie walks over and hugs me too. Rufus comes up and starts licking my leg. It felt gross but I know he was just trying to make me feel better. So I ignore it.

I pull away from them and get my act together.

"Alright" I sniffle a little, "Let's go find Mia."

Sorry for a short chapter but I wanted to fill in this hole in the middle of the story. Lol. Anyways I will update again as soon as I get 13-20 views on this chapter.
