Chapter 3

Outside the school

Lindsay was outside the school, ready to go in, but she was afraid what would happen to her once she goes in with her terrible makeover.

Lindsay inhaled, then exhaled, to create more courage.

She said to herself: "You can do this Lindsay, you can do this, nothing would happen to you, just some messy hair and crappy face, what could possibly go wrong? Don't worry, you read the student's handbook anyway, you can do this."

Hallway

She went inside, but just as she was expecting, everyone stared at her, with faces of wonder. She tried to walk as fast and as calm as she could, but the eyes, the eyes are distracting her, giving her struggle. Now she knows why school is hell.

Classroom

She soon reached the classroom, relieved it's over, until she realized there are also students in her classroom, wondering and waiting for her.

All the noise from the chatting stopped the moment they saw Lindsay. They all stared at her, as she walked towards her desk. She slowly let go of her pink sling bag onto the desk, and slowly sat down. There was a short moment of gaze, until the whole crowd broke into laughter.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" came from everywhere in the room. Lindsay felt embarrassed and lonely. Madison and Rebecca came to her aid.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!"

Madison said: "Guys stop."

They tried stopping the noise, soon, it stopped, and they comforted Lindsay.

Madison said: "What happened to you?"

Rebecca added: "Right, what happened to you?"

Lindsay said: "Ugh.. I accidentally did this to myself I don't know why."

Madison said: "That's crazy."

Girls restroom

The three girls went to the restroom to tidy up Lindsay. Lindsay washed her face. They also helped her soak her hair into cold and pristine water. Soon, she looked better, and soon, perfect. She wiped her face with a towel and they all left the bathroom.

Classroom

They went back into the classroom, just before the bell rang. The room was noisy again, they didn't even notice Lindsay.

As Lindsay told the three girls: "Thank you guys!"

"Nah, it is fine!"

They all sat down at their chairs and waited for the bell to ring.

The bell rang. First period was science, and the teacher told everyone to get their lab partners.

Science class, laboratory

Teacher Florence, their science teacher announced: "Okay, now we are going to do an experiment, so get your lab partner, people."

Everyone scattered around the classroom to find their own partners.

Lindsay thought: "Who should I choose? Rebecca? Or Madison?"

Madison went with Rebecca to Lindsay and said: "Sorry Lindsay, Rebecca and I partnered up, how about Reagan?"

Lindsay said: "Ugh, sure. Fine."

Lindsay looked for Reagan pairing up with Barbie, she thought: "Oh shoot, Reagan partnered up with someone else, damn it! Ooh, how about Dennis?"
