Chapter 43

Lindsay's home

Lindsay opened the door, and was shocked to see that everything in her house was messed up.

Lindsay said: "W-what just happened?"

Lindsay walked very slowly, looking around the destroyed furnitures, broken glass, ripped books, cracked plates, and pieces of stuff all over the place.

Her slow footsteps made loud noises, as she stepped on cracked pieces of glass, plates, and other stuffs.

Suddenly, she heard noise from the kitchen.

Slowly, she slit out her dagger from her pocket.

Living room

She walked slowly towards the living room.

She saw her couch destroyed into few little bits. She saw her large screen television broken with many glass shards below it. She saw her flowerpot destroyed, with soil all flown out, with the daisy barely still keeping up with it's healthy color.

Lindsay heard more noises from the kitchen, as she advanced from the living room into the dining room.

Dining room

Lindsay saw forks and spoons scattered all over the place. She saw broken plates and bowls, as well as broken mugs and cups.

Lindsay saw the bowl she ate cereal at a while ago, destroyed.

She saw a box of cereal torn apart with all the cereals scattered on the floor. She saw the refrigerator opened with all the cool air coming out.

She also saw small particles of flour all over the place.

She advanced closer to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Lindsay paced around the kitchen slowly and cautiously.

She saw fruits and vegetables all over the place. She saw the faucet flowing water because it wasn't turned off.

She suddenly heard more noises at the back of a table.

She took the pan from the stove and prepared to slam it on the burglar, then probably stab it with her dagger.

She moved closer, and closer the table, then she emerged to the back of the table.

She swung her arm with the pan in her hand, and suddenly she stopped.

To her surprise, it was her mom tied up and gagged to the wall.

Lindsay threw her pan away and immediately said: "Mom!"

Felicity said: "Mmm!"

"Oh, right."

Lindsay removed the tape from Felicity's mouth.

Lindsay said: "What's going on?"

Felicity answered: "Some gang of burglars intruded here and asked me where some random documents where?"

"So what did you say?"

"That's not what's important right now. So, since I didn't know any documents, they tied me up here and I couldn't fight back."

"Mom, hold on. Let me go up first."

"What! You should help me clean all this mess first!"

"Mom, I'm sorry, but I really need to go up."

"For what?!"

"Umm.. to clean my room."

Then, Lindsay dashed off upstairs.
