She walked to Wades room hopeing he would be inside. If he wasn't she would probably wait outside or even go inside and wait. She took a deep calming breath and knocked softly. When the door opened she felt whole again. He was wearing grey sweats and a black tank top. She wanted him. He motioned her inside and she gladly went.
"I know you probably want to take back your proposal, and I don't blame you. But right now I need someone to talk to. Someone who makes me feel comfortable and not like I am a guest. Can you be that for me?" She asked him.
"First, I don't want to take back the proposal. I never did. Second, I will always be here for you. What's got you upset?" He asked as he pulled her into his arms.
"My mother... No, my birth mother... No... The woman who birthed me was a spy for the lessers. She would sleep with the brothers to get information out of them. She would feed it to the lessers. Until they threatened to take me from her. She ran. They found me anyways."
"You mean your kidnapping was not because you were a vampire but because you were her daughter?"
"So it seems. They were shocked to find that I was... In their words different. They hadn't expected that. That's when they started the beatings and the starving. They knew I belonged to a brother. Just not which one."
"Those bastards. J swear I will kill them." He growled.
She placed a hand on his cheek, "No, Not for me. For the race. I don't want the heir to the throne fighting. I can take care of this myself."
"No you won't. I won't have my mate fighting the very beings who want her dead not only because of what she is but who she is."
"This is not open for discussion. I've made my decision. I will speak to your father about joining the brotherhood. I know that Xhex and Payne are in it. I've heard your mother and mine talking about it. I'd like to believe you would want me happy."
She turned and walked out without another word.

Wade was in shock. She was a very determined woman. He needed to ensure her safety. He left his room and headed straight for his mother. She would set Sage straight. He didn't want her fighting. He found her in the nursery watching the twins play.
"Wade, what is it?" She asked as he entered.
"I need to ask a favor." He said.
"If this is about Sage joining the brotherhood, don't bother. I won't stop her. I can't." She said, "Besides she's a grown woman who is more than willing to fight."
"What do you mean you cant?"
"Just that I can't. I don't interfere with what Wrath and the brotherhood do. She's a warrior. She deserves to be recognized as one."
"But you dont understand. This is different. She's part of them. Their blood is inside her. How do we not know what repercussion could come of that?"
"Is this what this is all about? Your worried about repercussions? Wade I thought you knew that this is different. I thought you accepted her as she is. I suggest you figure it out before you mate this girl. Be sure you know what you are willing to accept."
She stormed past him and disappeared. What was her issue? Even though Sage had been fine with nothing happening lesser wise, with her anyways, he still worried. He loved her. He wanted to be sure she would be safe. He didn't want to worry. He didn't want to doubt her but he was scared.

Jane heard sobbing and turned and saw Sage standing in the doorway to her office. She stood and pulled her into a chair.
" Can you... Can you fix me?" Sage asked.
"Fix you?" Jane asked.
"Take the lesser out of me. Fix me. Make me normal."
"I... I don't know if I can. What brought this on?"
"Wade doesn't like me like this. Please say you can fix me."
"Ill have to run tests and see what those say. But be prepared if I can't fix you." She patted Sages shoulder, "If he loved you at all he would like you the way you are. Let's get you an mri and some blood work."

Sorry for the short chapter. Sorry for being late at updating. Life kept happening and my work schedule interfered and getting MARRIED happened.
