Sage opened her eyes and saw a beautiful man sitting in the corner reading a book. He had long black hair, grey blue eyes, perfectly tanned skin, and he was muscled. Just the kind of man she always went for. He was huge. His large body folded neatly into a chair and couldn't possibly be comfortable. She watched him silently for a while until the door opened and her doctor opened.
"I see your awake. How are you feeling?" She asked.
"Refreshed. The pain is gone." She said to the doctor.
"Well expect to feel weak in a few hours. We had to give you human blood. The good feeling wont last long."
"Human blood? What did you give me before?"
"I meant to say O negative blood. Sony worry, we know your blood type for future reference."
"Look, you said human for a reason. What did you give me? Why was I in so much pai ? What the hell is going on?"

Wade knew he needed to step in. He stood and walked over to Jane and put his arm around her shoulder. He took a deep breath.
" She did say human blood. Those men who took you are called lessers. They are basically undead. They sell their souls for power and strength. They kidnapped you because you are a half breed vampire." He explained.
" You really want me to believe that I am a vampire?" She asked him.
" Just listen. Being half breed you are half human half vampire. Only something is different with you. On normal occasions you would need the blood of a male vampire to survive. But it appears you can't have that and need human blood. By now the blood effects should have ended and you should have needed more." He explained. "Now while we were trying to rescue you the lessers cut you open and put some of their blood in your stomach. You are still having effects. We are working on a solution."

Rhage knew something was wrong. Jane had to have had the test results back by now. She told him so. Why hadn't he heard the results? He walked through the mansion to the the clinic. He saw Mary there and saw the concerned look on her face. He walked up to her and hugged her to him.
" She didn't take the news well. She thinks this is a joke." She said quietly.
His heart broke, "I see. Maybe it's for the better then."
Mary looked up, " She doesn't believe she's a vampire. Jane hasn't told her the results yet. Wade helped Jane tell her about her being a vampire. She's different. She isn't reacting to human blood like you would. It seems to be making her stronger."
"How did she react to vampire blood?"
"She reacted badly. She was in pain. She isn't like a normal vampire. I think a visit with the scribe virgin will help us here. I was considering talking with Wrath about it. But he is so busy with the babies."
A flash of bright light and he knew it was the scribe virgin. Both he and Mary sank to their knees.
"My children, this child is special. Very special. She will be an asset to the brotherhood. The brother Butch can assist with this dear child. She is a strong asset. It is her destiny to be here." She said in her musical voice, "You wish to know what is wrong with this child. Nothing. She needs human blood to survive as she is half vampire half lesser. She will be a day walker. She will have skills to assist the brotherhood. Inform your doctor of all I have said. She will want to test this information. There is a war inside that child's body. She will come out good."
With that tlshe was gone. Rhage looked through the window at his child. She had to be his. He couldn't picture anyone else in her. She was half vampire half lesser. Butch needed to assist her. He needed to train her. A movement caught his eye and he saw Wade in the corner.
"What is he doing in there?" Rhage asked Mary.

Butch stared at Jane and Rhage and thought they were crazy. This girl couldn't be like him. She couldn't be half vampire half lesser. She couldn't survive on human blood. It wasn't possible. Could it be? He took a deep breath and opened his eyes.
"So your saying the Scribe Virgin wants me to train her? She wants her to become a part of the brotherhood?" Hebaskef.
"Look Mary was there she can tell you. But you know as well as I do that this girl has lesser blood in her. We have to help her. Please agree to train her." Said Rhage.
