Twenty Three

Wade jolted awake. Had he felt a twitch in the hand he was holding. He sat still and felt another. He hit the call button to call for Jane. He didn't let her go. He kept looking for another sign of movement. None of it came. Jane came in in a rush as she moved her other hand. Jane gasped and began taking her vitals.
"Talk to her. I think she's waking up." Jane told him.
"Sage, baby, are you awake. Please open your eyes. I've waited so long to see them again. Please wake up." He pleaded. "I love you."
"I love you too." He heard her whisper.
He looked at her face and smiled as she opened her eyes. He smelled the air and didn't smell any d races of lesser. She chose to be vampire. He kissed her forehead and watched as Jane took blood and such to check her over. He felt happy and excited all at once. He finally had her back.
"The baby, is the baby alright?" She asked them.
"You know about the baby?" Jane asked her.
"I heard Wade tell me. I heard him begging me. The war inside me, the baby, everything."
"Well now just relax and we will check that baby. But I'm sure your parents want to see you. I'll call up." Jane told her.
Wade kissed her and sat there holding her hand and not letting go. She was finally awake and had heard him talk about the baby. That made him so very happy. He couldn't keep the smile off his face. When Rhage and Mary arrived, he let go of her hand.
"I will give you some time alone. I'll be ba k later." He said before kissing her and leaving.

As the door shut behind him, Mary approached her. She sat in the chair and grabbed her hand.
" He loves you so much." Mary told her.
"I love him too." She told her parents.
" We are glad. Because he asked me if he could marry you." Her father said.
"Oh no." She said. " Please tell me you said I could."
"I said as long as you would have him I didn't care." He said with a smile.
She sighed. She finally got the approval she needed. She chose to be a vampire to show her love for Wade. She wanted to have his child. She wanted to be with him forever. She would do anything she could to keep him happy. But she had to find Phoenix first.
"How long have I been out? Have you found Phoenix? Found their location? Anything?" She demanded.
"Calm down. We've been watching them. They are preparing to move. We placed trackers on their cars. Ones they can't detect. Phoenix is not where you tracked your phone too. We are still looking." Rhage said, " Now please..."
"I am leaving. I need to find her. She has to be saved. She has to be found."
"Please don't work yourself up over this. We will find her. Your pregnant now. You can't leave and go fighting anymore. That has to drop for now. Please. Trust us." Mary begged.

Wade was ready. Dressed in his best black suit. Hair neatly combed. Ring in his pocket. He was ready. Everything was set. When she came through that door she would see only him and his dozens of white roses. The flowers reminded him of her. He smiled at the family hiding in the shadows to surprise her when he asked. The door opened and she came to a stop. Her hand flew to her mouth.
"Sage, Please do me the honors of becoming my mate." He asked on one knee.
She nodded and started crying when he slid the ring on her finger. She hugged and kissed him.
As the others came out clapping he said, "Mine. Forever."
