I was lying on his bed, not asleep - I don't do that. He was asleep, Damon, the guy from the bar who I might have slept with. Standing up, I realised that I was only in my underwear, and that was unsuitable. There was no way I was putting that dress back on, so I went rummaging through Damon's drawers.
Once I had pulled on one of shirts and adgusted it so that it covered all of me except most of my legs, good thing I had nice knickers on. Damon's room was pretty big, and it opened up to his huge bathroom. I wandered around the room, he had so many beautiful things, old things.
"Curiosity killed the cat." He whispered, causing me to drop a framed picture I had just picked up.
"Who is she?" I whispered.
"That, is Elena." He murmered, all of a sudden beside me.
So this was Elena. I was staring at a picture, it was a group of teenagers, or young adults, whatever. There was Damon and Stefan, Elena's best friend from the bar, a blonde barbie looking girl, a good looking boy staring at barbie, a puppy dog boy who was standing next to a younger boy. Then there was Elena, who was a mirror image of myself. "We look the same." I whispered evantually.
"Yep." He muttered, taking the photo from me and putting it back.
"Who is everyone else?" I asked him, turning to look at him.
"Elena's brother, best friends, ex boyfriend and friend." He murmered, bending down to kiss my neck softly.
I processed it all in my mind, then I felt the nip at my neck. I grabbed him by the neck, pushing him up against the wall. I applied pressure on his neck that was making it hard for him to breathe.
"You're a vampire, huh?" I snarled, being very careful to not lose control.
"How do you-" He gasped, his eyes lost.
"How do I know? Just because I'm not one of you doesn't mean I'm human." I smirked.
"Werewolf?" He asked evantually.
"Ew no. I'm a different species of what you are." I whispered in his ear as I dropped my grasp on him.
He rubbed his neck but didn't break eye contact with me.
"I'm away to make breakfast." I told him before heading downstairs.
I was in the kitchen, making pancakes when people came through the front door. I heard them laughing, one girl and two boys. The boys were talking about football while the girl was attempting to change the subject.
"Oh my god, Elena." the girl gasped. The boys stopped their conversation immediately.
I turned to look at them. It was barbie girl, puppy dog boy and the one who was staring at barbie. They were staring at me, in shock, although the boys had a slight smile but barbie looked embarrased. They thought I was their friend, and here I was in a shirt and panties, which they could all see.
"Hi.." I trailed, faking blushing.
"Did you stay with Stefan last night?" Caroline asked.
I noticed that puppy boy narrowed his eyes a little. "Yeah." I said rather sheepishly. "You guys want pancakes?" I asked them.
The other boy nodded and he and puppy boy went into the living room. I went back to the pancakes, keeping up the whole facade.
"Elena, seriously, what are you wearing?" Caroline whispered.
"His shirt, I know I know!" I laughed.
"Well you better get changed soon, we're all going for a barbeque, remember?" She moaned.
"I know, just fueling up for the journey." I replied.
She laughed before helping me with the pancakes. She was catching me up on all the gossip of the town, turns out the boys were Tyler and Matt, Tyler being her boyfriend.
"Caroline? Is that you?" A voice called out as the front door opened.
"Stefan?" The girl, Caroline I presume, called out, slightly confused.
"Are you making pancakes?" He asked, his voice getting closer.
I turned away, pretending to look in the fridge. "Just helping, where have you been?" She asked him.
"Picking me up." A girl said. Her voice came from just outside the kitchen.
"Elena?" Caroline gaped.
"Is everything okay?" Stefan asked, worry filling his voice.
"If you're Elena, then who-" She muttered, grabbing my hair and pulling me up.
"Katherine." All three of them snarled.
Tyler and Matt came running through. I stared at Elena, we truly were identical. "Nope, try again." I snarled, pushing Caroline off me so she went tumbling into Tyler and Matt.
"Is breakfast ready?" Damon called as he came down the stairs.
He stopped when he saw the group and how they were all staring between us both. "Ahhh."
"Danmon, what's going on?" Elena asked.
"She's not Katherine." He told them.
I smiled in triumph as I helped myslef to the plate of pancakes. "Come on Stefan, you already met me." I teased.
"Met you-" He stopped, he was remebering London. "Katrina, the girl who works in London." He whispered.
"Stefan, what's going on, why do I look like her?" Elena asked Stefan.
"She must be another doopleganger." Matt whispered.
"How?" Tyler and Caroline said at the same time.
"No idea, but I'm older than you. In fact the only ones here I'm not older than is Stefan and Damon, but I'm still stronger than them. So if you don't mind, I have a car to fix." I told them all before leaving their house faster than they could blink.
*Elena's POV*
I stared at the spot she had been standing in moments before. My eyes travelled towards Damon, who was staring at Stefan.
"Damon, what was she doing here?" I demanded to know.
"She was locked out of the house she was staying at, I offered her a place to crash." He smiled, tearing his stare away from Stefan to look at me as he helped himself to the pancakes.
