A/N Hello there people! How'd you like the Prologue? Now guys, don't judge. This is a Twilight fan fiction, but I got bored of just Twilight so now it is also Harry Potter. And to make it even better, I also added Vampire Diaries into it. So please enjoy, vote, comment and fan please? :) Thanks to Siosweetie for the cover<3

I kept on driving. The long ago memories were now fading. Going to the back of my mind where they belonged. I began to notice some houses on both sides of me, some more cars joining me on the road. I was nearing a village. I was right.

I drove past a "Welcome to Forks! Please drive carefully!" sign and soon some shops, streets full of houses and groups of people milling around. I saw a sign post for the police station and I followed them. As I always did when I moved to a new place.

The station was a small, shabby looking place. Sighing, I locked my car and proceeded inside.

"Hi there. I'm Detective Copper. Can I help you?" Asked an old plump lady as she approached me, stinking of coffee. I listened to the sound of her heart beat. She was going to die of a heart attack soon if she didn't stopped with the sugary treats.

"Actually I'm here to speak to the Chief." I replied.

"Follow me." She grumbled, leading me into an office near the back of the building.

As I entered the room, I took notice of the bare walls, over crowded desk and a framed picture of a group of teenagers. Then my eyes met the man behind the desk. He was a tired looking man. He looked as if he was in his late 40's. He had a steady heartbeat. He wasn't going to die anytime soon. His moustache was the same shade of brown as his hair. His eyes scanned me over with curiosity.

"Chief, this is.." Detective Copper muttered gesturing a hand towards me.

"Katrina Hale." I told him, holding out a hand.

As he shook it, I took notice of the small build up of sweat on the centre of his palms, meaning he was coming down with a cold. He was human at least.

"Welcome Miss Hale. Copper, you can go now." As I sat down opposite the Chief, Copper left the office and closed the door behind herself.

"So Miss Hale, how can I help you?" The Chief asked me.

"Well. I have just moved here this morning and I was wondering if you could tell me anything I need to know about this town and I was also wondering if there was any job positions open?" I asked, in my most professional voice.

"Yes I see. Here are some leaflets about here and the surrounding cities, I'm sure you will find them useful." I looked down at the leaflets he handed me, they were for Forks, Port Angles and Seattle. Lovely, three places I knew very well.

"As for the job, there is no openings I'm afraid but if you wish...we would love an assistant?" His voice had gained a hopeful tone to it.

"That would be lovely." I replied, smiling up at him.

"Great. You can start tomorrow and can work every second day?"

"Sounds good to me." I replied once more, as I stood up to leave.

"Miss Hale? If you wish you can come to mine for dinner tonight and I can let you know the basics of working here?"

"That sounds lovely." I say, knowing I'm going to hate it.

"Here is my address." He handed me a business card, with his name, number and address scrawled on it. Smiling, I put it in my pocket and made my way back to the car.

My new house was a small one. It wasn't quite in Forks, but on the reservation, La Push. The house was near the woods, which would come in handy when I needed to hunt. There was a few houses within a five minute walk from mine, neighbours.
