I was pacing outside his office. Professor Dumbledore had said they could come, as long as Professor Snape gave me the potion. And now, I was prepping myself up to ask him.
I laughed at my foolishness. I was THE Katerina Hale. There was a reason I was known as Killer.
The door swung open as I knocked on it.
"Madam Hale, what a surprise." He sneered.
I narrowed my eyes at him, trying my hardest not to wrinkle my nose at his yellow skin or greasy hair. I had always valued hygiene above most other qualities.
"Professor Snape. I wouldn't be here if there was not a reason." I replied as I entered his office.
"And what is this reason?" He asked as he went to stir a bubbling potion.
"I'm sure you know there is a potion, that if drunk, can allow the drinker to see all hidden magical buildings, streets and artefacts." I replied, crossing my arms at his disinterest at my appearance.
"That potion is very rare Miss Hale. But, it so happens I have acquired some over the years." He told me, leaving his potion and approaching me.
"I was perhaps wondering if you would be able to give me some. Please." I whispered, uncomfortable at his sudden closeness.
"What makes you think, that I am going to give out a rare potion from my personal store?" He sneered.
"I was simply enquiring about it. But as it so seems, my judgement of you was correct. You are a self loathing prick, who takes his self hatred out on everybody around him, so that he does not see anyone around him be happy as he is miserable." I spat in his face.
I smirked as his mouth fell slightly open.
"It just so happens, I have other means of acquiring this potion. And those means, do not involve having my personal space invaded by a greasy git." I added before turning in my heel.
I was surprised to see Harry and Ron standing outside the office, their gob smacked faces matched those of their Professor, but there's had hints of amusement mixed in. They were here for detention.
"Madam Hale." Snape shouted. "You can have the potion." He added.
I reentered his office. The two boys on either side of me.
"I will have it sent down to you tomorrow." He told me, before he pointed to the boys and then to some dirty cauldrons. "Manually." He sneered at them. When he looked back to see me, I was already gone.
"So you want me to meet these boys in London, give them the potion then escort them to Hogsmeade?' Tonks asked me.
"Exactly. Please?" I pleaded.
"Fine, I'll do it. Just give me the potion!" She grumbled, holding out her hand.
I squealed in response and hugged her briefly before giving her the potion. "They'll be meeting you tomorrow." I told her.
"Yeah yeah. I'll bring them here. See you later!" She called as she left me to go back to the ministry.
I smiled to myself as I tidied up to the hospital wing. A cough made me turn around.
"Madam Pomfrey, are you leaving?" I asked, eying the trunk beside her.
"I'm afraid so. I will see you in two weeks. Have a good Christmas." She wished me, before leaving.
"And you!" I called after her.
The Great Hall was almost empty when I entered the next morning. A few of the children greeted me as I took my seat.
