"Katrina, we're all going to the grill, if you want to join us?" Elena asked once she had finished her dinner with Jenna.
"Sure, but I'll stop by later, I need to make a stop first."
Elena smiled before she and Jeremy shoved each other out the door into Bonnie's car.
I waited until I heard Jenna and Alaric switch the television on, and begin to watch another of their sickly romantic films, before I counted to ten. I had always found counting to ten best when I wanted to go this far. Then I let myself go and felt the hook.
When I came to a standstill I was able to fully take in my surroundings. I had apparated to the alley across from the ministry. In London.
I smirked as I crossed the road, I never failed to apparate exactly where I planned.
Witches and Wizards alike nodded in greeting at me as I made my way through the Ministry. I checked in my wand, making polite chit-chat as I did so with the sour faced old bat sitting behind the desk. I was led strsight to the Minister's, Cornelius Fudge, office. He was not, as I had hoped, alone. Mr Lucius Malfoy was with him.
"Ah, Katrina. I had been notified of your arrival here. But I am, however, surprised that it took you this long to reach us." The Minister greeted me, not looking up from his sheet of paper.
"There is many floors, many elevators, I may have gotten lost." I joked. "Mr Malfoy, it is a pleasure to finally meet you, I have heard much about you from your son." I greeted, offering my hand.
He merely sneered at my outstretched hand in disgust. "Yes. And I have heard much about you." He spat. "Forgive me, Cornelius." He nodded and swiftly exited the room.
"And how may I help you today Miss Hale?" The Minister asked, finally giving me his attention.
"I firstly want to thank you for seeing me today-" I started.
"I'm always available for you." He interrupted, his voice trembling as he tried to mask his fear of myself.
"Secondly, I wish to ask you a favour."
"A favour? Of course, what is it?"
"Is there any chance you could spare a few of the best fighters. A friend of mine in America has found herself in a position, a position in which an army of newborn Vampires are set to attack with the aim of killing. I promised I would return to Forks and help defend her, fight the army. I was hoping that a group of our kind could join me, it would be an easy win with their help."
The lone man in the room went silent, closed his eyes and scratched his head; he was thinking. "I suppose that is do-able. I will look at who is available and owl you their names. You can choose from the list and arrange you plan from that. Will that be all?"
"Thank you, I look forward to your owl. Good day."
Back in Mystic Falls, I prepared myself to go out and meet everyone else, make some friends, flirt with Damon.
