*Katrina's POV*
I finished work, well it was hardly work. I sat there and did nothing except the coffee runs. At least it was some money, money that I could explain the source of.
I had hunted before I started work, so that I was safe to be around at the station, leaving me to a night of doing nothing. I was soon in my car, driving back to the Rez'. As I pulled up in front of my house, I noticed that something was different. Someone was standing round the back of my house. As quietly as I could, which was silent to the human ears, I got out the car and shut the door.
I made my way around the back of the house and took notice of the intruder. Whoever it was, a male, had opened the kitchen window, and was half inside my house. Faster than the speed of sound, I hurtled towards him, pulled him by the neck and flung him onto the ground. I kept my hand around his throat and made sure he was unable to get up. I worked hard to keep my mouth shut, knowing my fangs would sprout at being so close to an open feed on a human.
"Katrina! Can't breathe!" Sputtered the intruder. I recognised his voice, his face also seemed familiar. I loosened my grip on his neck, allowing him to breathe.
"It's me. Jared. I was at the err party." I released him. He sat up and rubbed his neck, which had a hand print around it.
"Sorry. What the hell were you doing?! I screamed at him.
"Umm, well background information check." He murmured.
"And that included breaking into my house?" I accused him.
He didn't reply, he just shifted his eyes around, focusing on anything but mine.
"Fine. Why did you want background information on me?"
"Sam. He wanted information."
"Sam? On me?"
"The Alpha. Since you've met a werewolf before."
Alpha? Right. "You know about the werewolves?"
"Paul never told you?"
"He never had time to tell me anything, he had to leave."
"You better come with me."
"Excuse me?"
"Just come with me!" I never got time to reply as he had grabbed my wrist and had started to drag me down the street. We were nearing the woods, but instead of going in them, we walked along the edge, towards a small house.
"Jake?" Called Jared from the front of the house as he dropped my wrist.
"Jared?" Came a voice from round the side of the wee house.
"Yeah. Is Bella here?" Asked Jared as he made his way around the house, towards the voice of "Jake".
"She's with me. Come on round."
I quickly caught up with Jared and followed him around the back of the house.
"Oh. Katrina is here." Muttered Jared as he passed a guy that I recognised from the other night. I watched Jared as he walked into what seemed to be a garage. I soon heard him start speaking to someone.
"You're going to Sam's?" Asked the boy. Jake.
"According to Jared." I smiled at him. I noticed that he was very boy-ish looking. Quite young. No more than 18 by his looks, but his heart told me he was only 16.
"Follow me." Grunted the boy, his goofy smile gone, replaced with a scowl. I followed him into the garage where I came face to face with another familiar face.
