Ashton's POV

I was shaking violently. "Connor, please, please don't leave me!" I screamed.

His face oozed with blood, and there were lots of cuts and bruises where he had been beaten.

"Connor please! I need you. Don't leave me!" I was sobbing.

"I.... love... you... Ash." he moaned.

"I love you too, just please don't leave me!"

I woke up in a cold sweat. Where was Connor? Was he okay?! What had happened?

Worry filled my mind as the dream kept replaying every time I closed my eyes.

I couldn't sleep until I knew he was okay.

I jumped out of bed, pulling my sneakers on my feet, and my grey hoodie on over my head.

I slipped quietly out of the cabin, and started walking quickly.

I headed straight for the Hermes' cabin. I hoped I could sneak in without waking anyone, check on Connor, and then go back to sleep.

I hopped up on the cabin porch, and knocked quietly, that way if there was anybody up, I wouldn't scare them.

When there was no response, I slid in the door, and headed straight to Connor's bunk. He was there, sleeping soundly, his breathing even.

I let out breath I didn't even know I was holding, and started to walk back out of the cabin.

"Ash?" Someone whispered behind me.

"Connor?" It was him. I felt bad for waking him, but it was good to know he was alright.

"What are you doing here?" He asked groggily.

"Come talk outside, I don't want to wake your siblings."

"Sure, whatever. Be out in a sec." He said, rubbing his eyes.

I quietly slipped out of the cabin, and sat down on the porch.

I felt bad for waking Connor, but I was glad that we could talk now.

I waited for about 3 minutes, wondering if he had fallen back asleep when a strong arm slid around my shoulders. Connor.

I laid my head on his chest and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, Con. I didn't mean to wake you up, I just couldn't sleep. I had a nightmare, and I was worried about you. Demigod dreams are never a good thing, and-"

"Ash, it's ok. Breathe." He whispered. He kissed my forehead and just let me talk it out. Soothing me with his words. "It's fine. Shhh, it's all going to be okay."

We sat there for a while just cuddling until I realized I needed to get back to my cabin.

"I should get back before Percy wakes up and wonders where I am." I whispered.

"I'll walk you." He helped me up, and we started to walk back to my cabin, hand in hand.

When we got back to my cabin, he kissed my forehead. "Hey, Ash. Whenever you need me, I'll be there. Just come, even if it's in the middle of the night and you have to disturb my beauty sleep." He grinned.

There was the Connor I knew. "Thanks." I smiled. "Thanks for everything."

I slipped my hand out of his, and walked back in my cabin.

I slid into my bunk, pulling the blankets tight. I fell asleep, and didn't wake up until the conch sounded for breakfast the next morning.
