I steadied the bow lifting my arrow into it's notch, eying the target -
"Boo!" Ashton's voice scared me, and I shot the arrow askew.
I spun around and kissed her cheek. "Ashton!" I whined, my eyes shining.
"Ha!" She giggled and ran. I chased after her, and grabbed her arm, spinning her behind a tree, and kissing her.
We stood there for just a moment before she pulled away. Tears in her eyes.
"Ash, what's wrong?" I was anxious to make sure she was alright.
"It's.... It's Percy." She started to cry. "He saw us in the lake yesterday, and... and he knows."
I pulled her into a hug. "It's fine. We'll work this out." I kissed her forehead, and held her there for awhile. Comforting her, trying to make her realize that it would all be okay.
