Chapter 20!!

I flipped. I knew something was going on between my kid sister and that no-good Connor Stoll. But what bothered me the most is that Ashton hadn't told me. I had assumed that the two feet in the lake were a guys - I could tell by the size, but what shocked me most was when Ashton kissed him, the whole pull-him-in-the-lake thing didn't surprise me though... That was something I would have done to Annabeth.

Anyways, Connor Stoll was dating Ashton and I wasn't sure what I was gonna do. Those Stoll brothers were really starting to get on my nerves.

I ran up the steps to cabin #3, and opened the door. There was Ashton, looking as innocent as ever, curled up in her bed reading a book, cuddling her pillow.

"What. Did. You. Do?!" I said, trying to keep my voice calm but it wasn't really working.

"What do you mean?" A worried look flashed across her face, but as soon as it appeared, it was replaced with calm.

"You..... And Connor! I saw you kiss him at the lake." I glared, and she looked down at her feet.

"Perce - I'm sorry! I didn't want to hurt you, but this is exactly why I didn't want to tell you. Just please, please don't hurt Connor!" The pleading in her voice, melted me.

"I'm sorry, but still that jerk shouldn't be going any where near you." I glared at the wall.

"C'mon Perce! Give him a chance." She was almost in tears.

"I'll try for you. But no promises." I hugged her. "Sorry."

She smiled. "You're a good big brother Percy. Just try not to be so overprotective."

I laughed.

_____________LATER THAT DAY @ LUNCH____________

I looked over to where Travis and Connor were sitting eating their lunch, probably planning some prank, anger boiling in my stomach.

I had known these guys for years. Years! And then Connor comes and starts dating my sister without even a word. The anger boiling in my stomach didn't last long though. I had known Travis and Connor for too long to stay mad. So what? Connor likes my sister. That's okay right?

But I knew deep down inside it wasn't. Connor had grown too close without even a word. I knew Chiron sending them on the quest alone was a bad idea. I just wish I had spoken up sooner.

a/n: Okay, so I know, I know Percy seems pretty off-character in this chapter.... He's just a lot over protective of Ashton.... :)
