Travis

I was walking along Camp's beach, thinking about my next prank. I figured I would have to do this one alone, seeming as Connor had been pretty spacey lately. Big help that was. I took a bit out of the apple in my hand, and contemplated who I was going to prank. I had no ideas.

I decided I would work on this whole pranking thing later, and started walking towards the Hermes cabin. As I walked past a grove of trees, I heard people whispering. And since curiosity almost always gets the best of me, I decided to sneak up and see who was whispering.

I started tip-toeing towards the trees, hoping no one would notice me. I quick slid behind a tree, and started to peek around it, hoping to see whoever it was whispering.

As I shifted my body silently so I could see the people talking, I found Connor and Ashton smiling at each other, talking. It didn't look like anything super suspicious, but I decided to stick around - just to make sure.

"So, how's training going?" Connor asked Ash.

"Pretty well. I've been fine tuning my sword handling, but ever since the attack on the bus, I have been psyching myself out." She looked genuinely scared.

That's when things started to get weird. Connor pulled her close into a hug, and asked; "Do you want me to help you train? Do you think that would help?"

"I'm not sure." She smiled. "We can try though."

"Okay. See you at the arena in 20?" Connor grinned.

"You got it." She smiled, pulled back from their embrace and kissed him on the cheek. Yeah, there was definitely something going on with these two. I started to shift back so I was completely hidden by the trees, hoping they wouldn't be able to see me. Luckily, no one seemed to notice where I was standing. All I knew was that I had to tell Percy.

Ashton

I had really thought that maybe Connor helping me train would help me not to freeze up as much. Especially since he had been the only other demigod there - that had felt my pain with me. It was just too real. I couldn't do it.

I kept trying to block his blows, but only ending up with several cuts and bruises, ready for this training session to be done.

"Connor." I said weakly. "I can't do this anymore. I keep trying, but it's just too-"

All I remember was Connor screaming for help, and then it all went black.
