Chapter 29

Connor

The feast was ready in the Dining Pavilion. For all of us who celebrated Thanksgiving, we were looking forward to the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cranberry sauce.

Chiron had put all the tables together, and I was pleased to see the edge of the Poseidon table and the Hermes tables placed side by side.

Even though all the tables were squished together, we were still required to sit at our designated tables. I laced my fingers through Ashton's, leading her over to the last seat of the Poseidon table, closest to the last seat of the Hermes' table so we could sit together.

"Happy Thanksgiving Seahorse." I grinned. I really liked this nickname Percy had come up with for her.

"Happy Thanksgiving Stoll." She leaned up, and kissed me lightly on the lips. Quick, and sweet. Heck, every moment I spent with her was sweet. Even though the kiss was quick, everyone seemed to be staring at us. Oh great. Now the whole camp knows.

"Just look on the bright side, Ash." I whispered. "At least Frank doesn't know."

She giggled. "But he'll know soon enough now that the rest of camp knows."

We all sat around eating our Thanksgiving feast, enjoying the time spent together.

After the meal was finished, the harpies brought out every sort of pie you could imagine, and Travis and I's eyes lit up.

"Pie!" We said in unison. We both reached for the pumpkin pie together, ready to chow down on the entire thing.

"Uh-huh! I don't think so!" Ashton giggled. "I would like some of that pie too if you don't mind."

"Oh, we mind." Travis laughed, and with that he smashed the entire pie right into Ashton's face.

"Oh that's it!" I laughed, and grabbed mashed potatoes, tossing them at Percy. "FOOD FIGHT!"
