Paradise (Newt X Reader Book 5)

- Minho Can't Swim -

"I'd say it's about noon now right?" I said looking up at the pale blue sky. It was very hot in the direct sunlight. I folded my shirt up over my stomach, just under my bra and led down putting my legs over Newt. Minho and Jorge were rowing and I stretched my arms above my head, they were aching really bad . "Nice to see you're relaxing greenie" Minho huffed. I stuck my tongue out at him and he smiled. I looked over to Newt whose eyes were focused on the scar on my stomach, so i reluctantly pulled my shirt back down and Newt's face softened as he ran his fingers up and down my legs. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. I almost forgot where I was when I heard a scream and a splash. "Minho, you shank!"Newt said pushing my legs off of him. I jumped up too and went to the side of the raft. I saw Minho splashing and struggling to stay afloat, he was spluttering and swallowing water. "I. Can't. Swim" he manages to say, "WHAT?!" We all shouted together. "But in the lake you are fine!" I shouted back at him. "My. Feet. Touched the. Bottom" I laughed when he said this but then he went under the water, leaving only bubbles. "Ah shuck it!" I said and threw my shirt off and dived into the water. The water was clean enough and clear enough that I could keep my eyes open, I saw Minho sinking but i kicked myself downwards as quick as I could and grabbed his arm. I could feel the pressure in my head from holding my breath and kicked my legs harder until I broke the surface. I handed Minho to Thomas and Newt and they pulled him up. Jorge pushed them out of the way and started chest compression's. Newt lifted me back onto the raft and hugged me tightly, I couldn't help but smile as his lips hit my cool, wet neck. He handed me my shirt back as I blushed. I heard Minho splutter and a tonne of water leave his mouth. Once he was calmer, I sat in front of him and and said "um how many times have I saved your ass now shank?" he scowled playfully and laughed, his face went serious again and i thought something was wrong but he said "Oh! Please don't tell Frypan, he will never let me forget it" And then we all fell back laughing, making sure that no one else fell off.
