"The tattoo. It's -"
"It's what Newt?" I managed to say through the pain, I was used to it now and though the pain was excruciating I wasn't screaming anymore.
"The inks gone but the words are cut into your skin, it's like the ink seeped into your neck and cut through your skin as it went" he touched it gently with a wet cloth but I flinched as the stinging sensation got worse "I'm sorry baby, come here" he sat behind me on the bed and ever so gently pulled me into his lap I immediately fell asleep.
When I woke up I was alone, the pain had stopped and it was dark outside. "Oh no the bonfires!" I said, I jumped up too quick and my neck spasmed making me fall and hit my head on the corner of the table. I sat up and put my finger to my head, i had blood on my finger and groaned as I stood up.
"Are you okay?!?!" Newt said crashing through the door lifting me in his arms "I heard a thud" "yeah I-I'm fine I just hit my head" I said dazed. "I missed the bonfire?" I whispered nuzzling my face into his chest "yeah but we can-"
"No it's fine"
"Greenie-"
"It's fine" I wriggled out of his arms and walked out the door towards the beach. I needed to see chuck.
"Hey what's-" Minho said walking over to me. I held out a hand to stop him and carried on, no one followed me. I walked past Thomas and Brenda kissing and rolled my eyes.
I sat on the sand next to Chuck's cross. "Somethings happening to me Chuck. I can feel it, something isn't right. I can't believe I'm sat here talking to two bits of wood" I said and stood up. "It's not crazy yah know. I talk to Rachel too" I turned around and saw Aris. "Oh" was all I could say before walking away. "If you need someone to talk to...I'm here" she shouted behind me I turned and nodded and walked back to the dying fire.
I led down on the bed and was alone for a while then I felt a warm muscly body lay down behind me and wrapped his arms around me. "I love you Greenie" he said and that's when I heard the voice. I spun around and saw Minho led there chuckling. "You slinthead get out" I said pushing him off of the bed. Minho laughed again and bumped into Newt on his way out. "What are you doing in here?!"
"He was being an ass!!" I said before turning back over. "Get out Minho. This is my cabin." Newt said sharply and Minho backed off and left.
Newt cradled me in his arms before I fell
Into a deep sleep "I love you Newt" I said before finally drifting off, the last thing i felt was him kissing my forehead.
