Paradise (Newt X Reader Book 5)

- Calm Before The Storm -

I was awake before anyone else the next day and as usual went straight to the beach. I figured I need to use my intellectual ability to try and work out how the hell an old tattoo managed to add another scar to my ever growing collection.

After an hour of thinking I decided that is must be an Infection I mean what else? Wicked is gone now and Ava said I'd be fine so it may just be an infection. I git that idea in my head as a waft of bacon came under my nose. I stood up and practically flew to the kitchen.

"Good morning fry!" I said batting my eyelids "fancy giving your favourite person breakfast early?" I winked sarcastically and fry rolled his eyes. "You know I can't resist you girl!" He laugh and handed me a plate full of bacon and eggs and bread. "You're the man fry!" I said muffled through a forkful of food. "Mhmm" he mumbled.

"How come Greenie always get early breakfast and I have to wait?!" Minho said walking over to me. "Because she is a beautiful girl who needs her food. You on the on other hand-" he began "ah don't answer that shank" Minho butted in and sat watching me eat. Frypan gave in and gave him a much smaller plate of food.

"Hey you guys" Thomas said rubbing his eyes and grabbing a plate of food from fry. "Hey Tommy. Where's Brenda? First time I've seen you without her in 2 and a half years!" I laughed and finished off my my plate of food. "She's still sleeping." Minho and me exchanged a look and burst out laughing. Tommys wasn't joining with out laughter. "How's your neck today Greenie?" And Minho brushed my hair out of my fAce and gently ran his fingers over the newly formed scar, it tickled and I sighed whilst I shivered. "It's ok. Doesn't hurt anymore" I said and stood up. "Where are you going?" He asked grabbing my wrist. "A swim'" and I walked through the familiar path in the trees again. I wanted to see if it was maybe the water that aggravated it. I knew Minho would follow me because Newt wasn't around, he's still trying bless him. Maybe if newt would have died I would've been with Minho but the point is he didn't die, I made sure he didn't die.
"Knew you'd follow me" I laughed and Minho jumped in practically naked. I watched as he swam around new waiting for his tattoo to start hurting but after half an hour it didn't so I gave up .

The next few days nothing went wrong and I thought that would be it...but it wasn't.

As we were eating dinner one night Thomas and Newt started screaming and grabbing their necks.
