Paradise (Newt X Reader Book 5)

- Minho and Newt -

"Told you i'd win Atticus" I said sitting down at the long table. Everyone else was already sat down. I looked around Newt was sat next to me with Georgia on the other side. the other side of me was Atticus and next to him was Minho. I looked down the table and saw Thomas and Brenda laughing and having fun, I saw Jorge talking to to some of the other guys. They were happy here. I was happy here. "Hey Newt?" Georgia said sweetly. "SOMEONE!" she stared at me "rendered my hand useless. Can you help me eat?!" she said scowling at me. Newt looked at me and i looked back pleadingly, as if asking him to not do it. "Uh sure" He said and mouthed the word sorry to me as he turned to her. I clenched my hands into fists under the able and Atticus put his hand on my fist and leaned in "Easy Y/N, calm down. She's not worth it" he whispered. I breathed in and out twice and released my hands to begin eating. I looked over at Minho and he was scowling at Newt, he then looked at me and his face was softer and he smiled. Honestly i couldn't wait to spend some time with Minho tonight after dinner. Newt leaned in to me after he finished feeding Georgia a spoonful of something. "I love you greenie" he whispered in my ear and put his hand on my leg. I looked at him and smiled. He kissed my cheek and went back to a now almost in tears Georgia. I felt bad for not saying it back but honestly i was annoyed at him. 

Once dinner had finished Newt came over to me. "Wanna spend some time together tonight?" he wrapped his arm around my waist and his lips touched my neck. "Um, actually i said i'd spend tonight with Minho" His arm dropped and he stepped back. "Oh."

"Newt you've been with her for bloody days! You haven't spoke to me in days to think of it!!"

"Oh but you'd still rather stay with Minho than me?"

"No...but Minho is my friend! He wants to spend time with me unlike you"

"Y/N, You broke her hand! she will never be able to use it again"

"Don't call me that!!! and That bitch deserved it"

"No. She didn't. You know you always do this. You are a monster Y/N. You've murdered people!"

I heard gasps from behind me and realized that we had attracted a crowd. I didn't tell Atticus about all the people i had killed.

"You know i had no control over that. I'm not a monster Newt" My voice softened.

"Yes you are. Georgia was right about you."

"Are you serious right now?!"

"Yes, i'm serious right now. I need you....um i need you to uh stay away from me for a while ok?"

"I'm sorry?! Don't you see! she's turning you against me Newt! What has she said?"

"Just stay away from me for a bit ok. I love you but i can't do this anymore"

"6 years Newt. You're just going to throw away 6 years of us!"

"I'm not throwing it away greenie. I'm taking a break from it. I've had the same people in my life for 6 years! I need a change" and with that he walked into the darkness with Georgia. 

"Come on greenie, lets go" Minho said taking my arm and pulling me in the opposite direction. He took me to the training area, the big rock was still where Atticus put it. I screamed and ran straight at hit putting every ounce of anger and strength i had in the punch and the rock smashed. 

"Woah." Minho said walking up to me, I felt a lot calmer. "Newt was out of order greenie. He's been ignoring you for days now and its not fair. I don't know why he's doing it!"

"Tell me about it Minho" I looked at him and didn't realize i had started crying. "Oh you silly come here" He said giggling. He lifted me up and hugged me. "I've missed you Minho" I hugged his neck tighter and took in his smell. Not only did i miss Minho...i missed my paradise. I missed swimming. I missed our family and i missed Newt being mine. When Minho put me down i said "Fancy a run?" he smiled "I thought you'd never ask" and we started to run.
