Chapter 20
-Your Point of View
"Wha- what's wrong? Did something happen?" I hesitated. If something bad happened I'd feel nothing but guilt for never thanking him. "No, no. Nothing happened - yet. Ever since that night he left you, he's been a whole different person. He doesn't give his all at concerts, he doesn't smile at meet and greets, he won't even tell Pattie he loves her. And on his days off he just lays in bed doing nothing. He 100% believes what happened was all his fault and would've never happened if he never met you. He's very depressed and we think he might hurt himself. We'd tell a doctor but there's that chance it could get leaked to the paps and blow up in our faces. The only real thing that can help him is you, *yn*. Could you at least give him a call?" He says with little hope in his eyes.
Wow, that's a lot to take in. "Well, wow. I honestly thought he had just forgotten about me and just moved on. If it hurts him that much why doesn't he call me?" I say slowly. "He thinks it'll just hurt you more. All he cares about is you. He's between a rock and a hard place - if he comes back to you he feels it's bad for you but staying away from you is bad for himself. You need to let him know you're okay and that it wasn't at all his fault. He won't listen to us. Every time we try to tell him it's "she's scarred for life and its all because of me" or "I ruined her". He needs to hear the truth from you. Look, I really need to go but give me a call soon so we can figure out when you get outta here. Stay strong."
He gave me a hug before walking out. Wow, what was I gonna do now? Could I ever trust Justin again? Ugh. And I was just starting to get use to the feeling of him being gone..
