Chapter 41
-Your POV
He led me to the top of the stairs and stopped, turning to face me. He kissed me quick of the lips, sending 1000 butterflies into my stomach once again, before moving behind me. "Close your eyes," he whispered sweetly into my ear. "but..." I replied, unsure at the moment. "just trust me babe." he whispered again in his raspy voice. So amazing. Once I closed my eyes i felt his hand take mine once again leading me throughout his mansion. I tried to figure out where he was taking me by the steps but there was no use. I heard him open a door and at the same time felt a light breeze. "Ju-" I started but was interrupted by a finger hitting my lips. "Shhhh. Just wait here, don't open your eyes." he reassured me, letting go of my hand. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I'm still right here, I just need to set something up. Just a sec...here," He grabbed my hand again and led me to a soft spot on top of the hard wood. I felt the winter California air on my body as my hair whipped around. "lay down." he said with a smile in his voice. I heard him lay down, pulling me down with him. When I was on my back he grabbed my hand again making sure I knew he was there. "Open your eyes," he whispered. "Oh my...." I said stunned.
The stars were sprawled out across the sky beautifully. "It's so beautiful, like you." He said just as amazed as me. "I've never really sat back and watched them like this before, it's so perfect. Thank you." I whispered. "It's my pleasure. I used to come up here every night and just lay here and think. Then I didn't really have time anymore." He said with a little sadness in his voice. "Do you regret it?" I asked quietly, turning to look at him. "Regret what?" He asked. "Becoming famous." I said. "It has its ups and downs. I love my fans and I feel it's my calling, what I was made to do. But I don't like how I never have time to see the beautiful things in life anymore. I gave up normal, I know. I just have to find a balance, and I haven't yet." He frowned. "You will, I believe in you." I smiled, getting closer to him. We sat watching the stars for a while in silence. It was perfect. "*yn*, look, a shooting star! Make a wish!" He said breaking the silence. "Why? I already have everything I want." I smiled looking into his eyes. "You're so beautiful. I'm so lucky to have you." He replied. "I could say the same about you." I said back. "I wish we're together forever, that's my wish." he whispered placing a kiss on my cheek. "Now you said it it won't come true.." I frowned. "Hey, I'll make sure it does." he said lifting my chin with his thumb. *ding dong* "Doorbell. I'll be right back my love." Justin sang as he stood up and walked away. I sat up into pretzel legs and started humming, looking at the stars. Nothing could ruin this night. It was perfect. I was the luckiest girl in the world.
A minute later I was brought out if my daydream from a big crash, it sounded like a glass broke into a million pieces. My mind told me to stay put but of course my heart wanted to make sure Justin was okay. I ran off the balcony back into the house. Frantically looking for the stairs I finally found them, jumping down two at a time. From the top of the stairs I saw Justin sitting on the ground, face in his hands, with thousands of pieces of broken glass and beautiful flowers all over the floor. "Justin wha-" I started but stopped when I heard him lightly crying. He just shook his head and held out a white notecard. I shakily took it and read:
Remember, she's mine now. Get well soon, you'll need it.
-Austin
"I should've just killed him there, when I had the chance but I couldn't just traumatize you like that after everything else that happened. Now he's after you, and you're in danger. I thought he would get it. I thought-" Justin cried as I sat on the floor next to him, glass cutting into my legs but seeing him upset hurt much more. "Shhhhh, babe, it's okay. I know you won't let him hurt me. I trust you." I said, not really believing my own words. "No, it's not okay. He's sending threats, *yn*. Call Scooter and ask him to come over now? Please?" He said still pouting but looking at me with puffy eyes now. "Okay. Go lay on the couch, I'll clean this." I told him, rubbing his back soothingly."Thanks baby, I'm so sorry." He said with a sniffle. "Don't worry about it. Scooter will know what to do." I reassured.
