Chapter 2: Auditions

ANGIE'S POV

"OH MY GOD WHAT AM I DOING." I said as we pulled into the huge parking lot at the auditions.There was a huge line with people singing, dancing, screaming, and playing the weirdest instruments.

"Wow, " Jon said, my brother. "Are you okay Angie, you look flushed."

"I'm fine i'm just about to audition in front of 4 wonderful musicians/judges but i'm okay." I said with a sarcastic smile. My Mom giggled in the front seat.I start humming the tune of the song i'm singing.

"Wow, I'm finally here!" I said as I stepped out of the car into the parking lot.I nearly got myself killed as a car was driving when I decided to take a spin in the middle of the road.

"Ah!Sorry!" I yelled to the driver, who didn't look too happy.All well.

We walked to the table to register and get my number.It felt so unreal.I got into the line with about 2,000 people in it.

The next thing I know Ryan Seacrest is looking at me asking me to say,"Welcome back to American Idol!" So I did,"WELCOME BACK TO AMERICAN IDOL!" I said, with all the enthusiasm possible flowing out of my like a river.

It felt like days later, but we were finally inside.I was next, and nervous."Good luck!" Everyone said to me as I walked into the doors and made my way to the judges.

"Hi!" I hear the judges say, "Hi!Oh it's so good to be here.Oh my goodness." I say back.

"What's your name?" Nikki asks.

"My name is Angela Miller."

"How old are you?"

"18."

"Is there anything interesting about yourself?"

"Umm, I've had hearing problems my entire life.I have 40% hearing loss in my left ear, and 20 in my right."

"In terms of singing it's so important to have your ears, how do you find singing-is it more difficult because of this?" Mariah says.

"It definitely is, especially hearing music around me, like ask anyone whenever I sing, the monitors are always so loud because I can't hear the music."

"Ok, what are you gonna sing for us?"

"I'm gonna sing "Momma Knows Best" by Jessie J."

I smile as Nikki says "Let's go."

"A favorite today." Mariah murmurs under her breath.I breath in before I start singing.

"Well there is something going down, like the storm in the sky.Oohhh, I ain't gonna be played by your behavior, how can I trust someone whose lying to me, so, better go, now I said better leave!I said, take your stuff and go.'Cause you're not for me no.Mama knows best when times are getting hard, but papa always has a joke to make laugh, and mama knows best when I'm feeling down, so bring me up and always keep my feet on the ground."

"Thank you." Nikki says.

"Wow." I hear Randy say.Not to brag, but there were so many compliments that I can't list them all ;).

"I haven't felt that all day.That thing that makes me feel something in my soul." Nikki says.

"You know what I like," Keith starts,"I like that you moved a little bit and came closer to us."

"You know what we didn't have all day?Tone.That had tone." Mariah says."And that's one thing that I would like to say we need more of."

"I think that was definitely one of the best today." Randy says.

"Really?!" I say, overwhelmed with emotion.

"Should we vote?" Nikki asks.

"Yes, let's vote!" Randy says."Mariah?"

"Yes."

"Keith?"

"Easy yes."

"Nikki?"

"Yes!"

"Yes!Welcome to Hollywood!!!"

"Ahhhh!" I scream as I run out of the door with the golden ticket over my head.I'm greeted by more screams, and the arms of Jon.

One everyone settled down, my Mom asked,"How many yesses did you get?"

"All of them!" I said with a smile.More screams.

"Ahhh, Ryan!" She screams, giving him a hug.

"It'a okay," he says,"You raised a good one.

It took me forever to write because I copied word for word from the actual audition.
