Chapter 7: Small Talk

It was guys' night, so I had the day off. I decided to go to the breakfast cafe provided by the hotel.

I was pleased as I walked in to discover that it was a Starbucks.I love me some Starbucks.

But at the same time it made me sad, because I thought of my brother, who works at one.

I sighed and got in line to order. When it was my turn, I ordered a latte and a muffin. I waited for them to prepare my food as I fished for loose change.

By the time they had it ready I'd finally found some and handed it to the cashier before giving them a smile and a "Thank you."

I sat down at a table meant for two and began to eat my muffin.Chocolate, of course.

I nearly choked though when I felt a hand on my shoulder, that quickly moved to pat me on the back.

When I had finally recovered, I looked up to see the girl that I'd met a couple if days ago when I got here.

"Angela, right?" She asked, after making sure I was okay.

"Yes," I said, "Kree?"

"Mmhmm.How are you?"

"Good." I said before realizing how rude I was being."Have a seat."

"Thanks.You did really good yesterday by the way."

"Thanks so much!You did really well too!" I said thinking about her performance the day before.

"Now, as a country girl, I'm not exactly sure who Jessie J is."

"Oh yeah, not a lot of people do.She's from the UK."

"Oh, cool.What other music does she have out?"

"Um, do you know the song Domino?"

"Oh yeah!I love that song!I didn't know that it was hers."

"Yeah, it's really cool.Wanna hear it?"

"Sure!"

I pulled out my phone, but stopped before typing in the pass code.

"Are you okay?" Kree asked.

" Yeah, I'm fine." I didn't tell her that the wallpaper was a picture of my and Lydia.
