Chapter 11: Never Gone

Oh my gosh it's already the top ten girls! That's so crazy!I was performing "Never Gone" by Colton Dixon.I love that Song and have really been looking forward to performing it on the show.

I woke up to a knock at my door.I slowly got up to open it to see that it that guy I'd seen weeks ago when I arrived.

"Hi Angie." He said with a deep voice.Thank god I automatically recognized it as Burnell. That would've been awkward.

"Hey Burnell!" I said, almost forgetting that he said something to me.

"So," he continued,"I just wanted to wish you luck tonight. What song are you singing?"

"Never Gone by Colton Dixon." I replied quickly.

"I love that song!I bet your gonna be great!"

"Thanks!I'll try my hardest!" I say with a smile.

We share a laugh before I tell him that I should start getting ready, and he gave me one last 'good luck'.

I got into the shower and started humming the tune to the song.

I was on stage at my piano, my fingers lightly dancing over the chords to the song.

I began to play, swaying to the rhythm of the song for a short period of time before it was time to sing.

"Lights off, a shot in the dark, we get lost.

We're playing a part we lay blame, like we know what's best.

It's a shame.

Oh It's a shame.

But I'm still standing here.

No, I didn't disappear.

And now the lights are on, and you see that I was never gone.

I let go of your hand, to help you understand, I'm with you along, and, no I was never gone!

Oh no I never left you, I never left you no!

Oh no I never left you, I never left you no!

No I never left you, I never left you, no.

But I'm still standing here.

No I didn't disappear.

No the lights are on, and you see that I was never gone!

Now the lights are on, but see, I was never gone."

I got really good feedback, and I'm so glad that I picked that song!I am very proud of myself....
