Chapter 3:Airplanes

I was sad to be leaving my friends and family, but it was for the better.

"Bye mom," I said, fighting back tears, "I love you."

"I love you too." She said, obviously not strong enough to hold them back."I'm so proud of you, you'll do great."

"Thanks." I said, moving on to the next person in the row of people waiting to say goodbye to me."Bye Daddy, I love you."

"I love you too, don't forget your rock side up there while you're on stage." He said with a smile.I managed the tiniest giggle.

On to the next person.

Oohh.This one is hard.

****************************************

"Jon." I say, feeling like punching something.I don't want to leave the person who I always feel I can talk to.And who always helps me with my music.

Without even saying anything, he throws his arms around me, and start to lightly cry into his shoulder.I'll miss him.

I go on to the other people, who are mostly the members of Jon's band, "Exiting The Fall".I give them all hugs, and tell them to go on tour, which I'm sure they will.

I stop as I see the last person in the crowd of people.

Lydia.

I throw my arms around her and quietly say into her shoulder, "I'll miss you pooch."

"I'll miss you too, pooch."She says between sobs.

*****************************************

I walk backwards towards the plane that I'm boarding, waving to all of them and singing Airplanes under my breath.

I smile at the thought of it, as it was me and Lydia's song.

**************************************

I slept through most of the plane ride.I was physically and emotionally drained. All of the adrenaline of getting the golden ticket yesterday was starting to wear off.Now I was just plain tired.

I woke up with just about a half an hour of the plain ride to go, so I slept a good 6 hours.

We were low enough to the ground that I could barely see some places, but just enough that I recognized them.

After about 20 minutes of staring out of the window with my headphones on, I hear the pilot say that we were landing in LA in about ten minutes.

Cool. I thought.I decided to take out my bible and read a few quotes.

"Those who believe in The Lord will soar on wings like eagles.- Isaiah 40:31

I liked this one, because I believe in The Lord and look where I am, on a plane!

Shortly after I felt the tires hit the cement and the pilot say that we have landed.

LA HERE I COME!!
