I woke up in Aaron's arms which literally almost gave me a heart attack. I was about to throw him off and turn my thoughts of punching him into reality when the thoughts of yesterday erupted in my head.

Aaron slowly wriggled and he sighed. Shoot! He's awake! I thought.

"Good morning," he said yawning.

I couldn't mutter a thing due to our closeness. I couldn't breath!
I counted to ten to clear my head and then turn toward him.
Bad idea!

Just looking at him was making my heart beat violently in my chest. He looked so...different. He wasn't mad or annoying or even mischievous. He was just Aaron.
He had a beautiful smile plastered on his face as he looked at me. If it was possible my heart started beating even faster.

"H-hi," I managed to breathe out.

"Did you get any sleep last night?" he asked taking a strand of my hair like it was just a natural thing.

"Um yeah, since you came here," I said blushing wildly.

He seemed to notice because his smile grew as he looked at my cheeks.

"Soooooo..." I started.

"So what do you want to do today?" he finished for me.

"Don't we have training?" I asked.

"Nope, no more training, you solved our vampire problem remember?" he asked taking another strand of my hair.

I sighed.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Okay so what can we do here?" I asked curiously.

He smiled once again.

"Well we could go swimming in the river near by and then we could tour through the farmlands further away."

I thought about this for a moment longer.

"Okay," I finally agreed,"Let's go."

I mean it wasn't like he was going to try and drown me in the river and dump my body in the farmlands...right?

Slowly I smiled at the silliness of that crazy thought.

We both got out of bed. Aaron went to his room to go and get changed.
I got into the shower quickly and changed into the clothes that were once again on my bed. This time the clothes looked like they would fit. Brown shorts and a black shirt-which was actually tight. I wondered who's clothes these were...

"You ready Eve?"

"Yeah I'm ready," I said and opened the door.

He smiled and offered his hand which I took hesitantly.

The walk to the river was longer than I thought. It was a few miles from the homestead and in between the valleys.

"Your version of 'near by' and mine are two very different versions," I wheezed, "Remind me again why I couldn't use magic?" I asked.

Aaron smiled at me.

"Because the journey is part of the fun Eve," he said.

Oh really now.

I smirked.

"Are you on happy pills?" I asked.

He burst out laughing so hard he nearly fell over a rock.

"No i'm not on happy pills. I just want to show you something. You'll understand soon why i'm so...different today," he said.

Okay now I was nervous. What was Mr Grumpy planning?

We stopped suddenly when we reached the edge of the river. The water was clear and blue and reflected the light of the sun.
Aaron motioned for me to sit beside it and so I did.
He then put down his bag of belongings and neared the wager. Carefully he stepped onto the water. I mean he actually stepped onto the water.

"Your power is back!" I said staring at his feet.

Aaron nodded.

"The wound was the thing preventing my powers from working properly. I guess now they're back...thanks to you," he said smiling.

"Well i'm glad I could help!" I said.

I then took a breath and stepped gently onto the surface of the water. Slowly I walked up to Aaron.

"I thought you said we would be swimming?" I said.

He smiled.
Suddenly I had no control over my feet and Aaron and I both fell into the water. The water was extremely cold and I shrieked as it touched my skin.

"Aaron! You jerk. Why did you do that!" I yelled.

Aaron just laughed again and said, " surprise!"

I shook my head at him," you are going to get it!" I said through gritted teeth.

"Get what?" he asked with a sly smile.

I lifted up my hands, and as I did water followed the motion of my arms.

"You wouldn't!" Aaron said.

I smirked. Oh I would!

Soon Aaron was drenched in water as it covered him in a huge wave.
As soon as he rose from the water his smile faded and his frown appeared.
Oh boy, I was in trouble.

"Dear Princess that was not fair!" he said.

I gulped and said," Well life's not fair!"

Immediately he did the same thing I did and I soon found myself in the same position as Aaron was just a minute ago.

Laughter erupted from his chest as he looked at me.

I shook my head at him in disbelief.

The rest of the day was like that until we decided to go and walk through the farmlands where the binders got their vegetables from.

"So why do you grow your crops instead of going into the town?" I asked remembering what James had told me.

"Well the humans would think we were zombies, I mean have you seen the way we look!"

I grinned at him.

"Okay I see," I saw an opportunity to talk about what he had told me last night and the dream, but I decided not to bring it up. The bad memories would just ruin this moment.

After we toured the farmlands we walked back to the homestead and started talk about random things. It was really nice to spend time with Aaron. He had quite a bit in common with me. We both loved chocolate, we both hated the rain and we both were royals. That was enough for me considering we were supposed to be enemies.

By the time we reached the homestead, it was already late and the sun was already setting slowly.

"Thanks Aaron, I really enjoyed today," I said.

"No problem." he smiled and we went our separate ways.
