There was now a huge outbreak of fighting taking place.

I did not know what was going on.

Between the vampires biting heads off and grey binders destroying the guards.

I wasn't even quite sure when exactly the vampires started to join the fight, but I stayed hidden from them. If James saw me he would kill me...figuratively of course.

Aaron and I snuck upstairs while all of this chaos was going down. We were walking along the dimly lit corridor and heading to the Dark King's bedroom.

We neared the door. Aaron turned the knob slowly. He pushed the door gently and barged inside, a knife in his hand.

The room was huge. It was painted white and had golden curtains shielding the room from any stray light.

King Michael slept soundly on his bed. He snored deeply.

Aaron looked at me and put his index finger to his lips.

I nodded.

He went to the left side of the bed and I the right.

He helped up three fingers and started counting down with them.

When he counted to one, we both lifted up the sheets, revealing an armed King Michael.

He smiled a sickening smile at me.

"You've grown so big, and so beautiful just like your mother," he said.

I scowled at him.

"Don't mention my mother you pig. You killed her, and you killed your wife!" I said.

His grin grew wider.

"I did didn't I? And I stole your brother and turned him into a mindless drone." he said.

That made me snap.

I jumped on him but stopped mid air.

King Michael held up his hands toward me. He stopped me. I was completely powerless.

"Your power is so...powerful. It's like the whole world is flowing in my veins. How do you and Jackson manage to keep all this power contained?" he asked, " and also the power of your light binders. Wow. It fees like the sun is exploding in my veins."

I just scowled at him even harder.

"And as for you-" he lifted Aaron into the air " you little betrayer, falling in love with my enemy. I will make sure I kill you today my boy. Don't think I will spare you because you are my blood. I killed your mother, I will destroy you," he said.

Over my dead body- literally.

I was going to have to die first before he tried to harm Aaron. No way would I let him die.

King Michael then dropped us to the ground and stood up from his bed. He moved menacingly toward the both of us.

I lay on the ground slightly winded. The force from him dropping me on the ground was definitely not good for me.

I turned toward Aaron. He was standing up and glaring at his father.

I always wondered why you were so powerful. Always wondered why you were so special." he said.

"And why am I so special father?" Aaron asked.

Because your mother was a very very powerful light binder with very very powerful powers. She was a telepathic witch."

Telepathic witches were extremely rare and extremely powerful. They had abilities very very similar to royal binders. No wonder he could communicate with me through telepathy.

Aaron glared even harder.

"When did you find this out?" he asked.

"I found it out a few days after I killed her!" he said.

Aaron was fuming with anger. His grey eyes were now a fierce black filled with rage.

"You monster! I am disgusted to even be related to you!" he shouted. Then he tackled Michael to the ground.

They fought, rays of dark and light shining as they missed each other.

Aaron threw a huge ball of pure darkness at his father, but his father missed it.

Michael then opened his hands and blinding light shon from his fingers.

Aaron howled in pain and fell to the ground with a loud thud.

My heart beat fast as I watched him screech in pure agony.

I gaped. Poor Aaron.

I couldn't even save him, because I had now realised that I was paralysed. I could not move at all. I could only watch.

King Michael then took something from his pocket.

When he raised it in the air I finally recognised it.

It was a dagger, just like in my visions of memories. The dagger used to kill my parents. But instead of this dagger being black or white, one half shon black and the other shon white.

Realisation soon hit me. I knew what this sick man was going to do.

I tried hard to scream and warn Aaron, but I did not succeed.

King Michael ran to Aaron who was still on his knees.

He grabbed onto his shoulders and jabbed the dagger deep into Aaron's heart.

Aaron collapsed on the ground and made choking noises as he spewed up blood. There was blood everywhere.

It made a huge pool around Aaron's body.

Aaron then looked at me and said, "Eve, just remember that I love you. Finish this, for your mother and father...and for me."

And with that he went limp and closed his eyes. He slowly breathed his last breath, then stopped moving altogether.

I struggled more. I needed to go up to him. I struggled and struggled.

Then finally I moved.

I immediately jumped up, ignoring the pins and needles. I ran to Aaron and cradled him.

It was then that I realised that I loved Aaron. I really did. And now he was gone.
