I was standing in a huge voide of nothingness. White stretched for miles ahead, below and above.
Slowly I walked on the thin air. I felt the ground beneathe me but all I could see was white.
Finally I heard a loud crashing sound and I was falling deeper and deeper into the white, until I hit the hard floor. This time it was made of glass. I stood up. I was in a huge ballroom made of glass, I recognised it as the palace of light.
There was a large glass chandelier that seemed to float above me in thin air. There was a large table in the centre of the room. Sitting around it was my mother, my father, Aaron's father and the creepy lady who had died and then sat up and started speaking in my vision, next to her was Aaron and then me.
" Mommy, why are you so sad?" I asked her from the opposite side of the table.
She smiled at me.
" I'm not sad, why don't you and Aaron go out and play." She said.
The little version of me got up from the table and went outside with Aaron.
My mother started sobbing.
" She- she stole my son from me. My littke Jackson. I just thought it was a coincidence that he looked like you Simon. The seperation between us is destroying the binder society."
I stood there with my mouth gaping.
" Well we will fix this. Tomorrow everything will change. Angelina and I will take the kids to safety when you declare the new laws." Aaron's dad said.
Just then the door burst open and there stood Jack's parents- well not really Jackson's parents but anyway.
His "mom" held out something black that looked like a dagger, and something light that looked like a dagger as well.
"Yes, we took you son, and why? Because we hate this joining together of the binders, don't we Michael? " she asked gesturing to Aaron's dad.
The woman I now knew as Angelina stared at him.
" Is this true? You betrayed us? My own husband?" She was so shocked.
"Yes, this mission, this revolution, is disgusting. We created the seperation for a reason, so we would not mix up our differences," he said.
She got angry.
" I'm a light Binder! That means you only married me for this sick plan?" She said.
He nodded nonchalantly.
" Yes, and now I have a son who is some hybrid. What a disgrace," he said.
That was when my mother and father retaliated.
" What kind of a sick man are you?" My mom shouted.
He smiled.
" A very, very powerful one," immediately he breathed deeply and exhaled, filling the room with a type of poison. Immediately my mother, father, Angelina and Jack's fake parents collapsed onto the floor.
"You said you would spear us," Jack's father said choking.
" I lied," he smiled and and plunged the daggers into each person. The white dagger for my father and Jack's parents and the black one for my mother. Immediately I heard a crashing sound again, and I soon landed outside my old house that I stayed with Katherine.
Only now the paint was new, the grass was healthy and the woman on the doorstep whom I recognised as my aunt Katherine was very young.
" So you will take care of this child, train her, make her believe you love her, but when the time comes, and her power grows strong, we will take it and rule every single binder!" I heard a familiar voice. Suddenly Michael came out from the house and stood next to Aunt Catherine.
" Yes, brother. Then we will rule as the most powerful binders in history," she said smiling evilly.
I could feel moisture in my eyes.
" But Michael, won't she remember all this?" She asked.
" No, Aaron wiped her memory and built up new ones," he asked.
" How?"
" I don't know, he and Evelan have some sort of magic bond. I never saw anything like it. Only he can undo what he has done to her memory, but he will never do that, he is a loyal boy. He will not be king, but he is a good ally." He said.
I was now sobbing. How could they be so twisted?
The cracking sound pierced my ears again and I fell, this time I landed back at the homestead of the rebellion quarters. I thought that I was finally back, until I looked carefully. There were many injured people going into the homestead. Aaron was there and looked absolutely fine. I went inside. He had gathered everyone inside and held up his hands.
" You all are injured grey binders, and are here to rebel against my father, you all think I am one of you. No one will ever tell the princess the truth, because you won't remember the truth. You should all be happy my father hasn't killed you all yet," as he spoke, ripples of light and dark rays were flowing from his fingers. It was then that I realised he was hypnotising them.
I was in a sate of shock. Then I saw the oddest thing. Aaron's father came inside and stood next to him.
" Good job son, your mother would be proud," he said sadly to Aaron. It was then that I realised how manipulative Michael was, poor Aaron didn't even know his father killed his own mother at that time.
Slowly Michael took Aarons arm, whispered something under his breath and immediately Aarons arm had a huge gash, and he looked weaker. I watched in horror as Michael turned around, looked straight at me and smiled. That was the last thing I saw before I was pulled back into the real world. Aaron sat next to me staring at me intently. I was lying on my bed.
I stood up and walked up to Aaron. He stood up. I could feel the hatred bubbling up.
I slapped him across the face as hard as I could.
" You jerk! You lied! You planned this. Now he has my magic and he is going to use if for evil. He killed your mother, yet you stayed loyal!" I said.
He looked down ashamed.
" Yes, I am a monster. What else could I have done. I am in so deep I can't get out. You don't even know what he has done to all the light binders," he said.
My eyes grew wider.
" What has he done?" I growled.
" I can't tell you!" He said.
I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and banged him against the wall.
" You will tell me," I growled again.
"Fine, when Jackson gave him your powers, he gathered all the light binders and told them that you were dead. Now he is making them turn in their powers to him," he said.
I let him drop to the floor and I sunk back and started hyperventilating.
My people, he was destroying my people.
